POSITION SUMMARY:

Natera’s laboratory genetic counselors serve as clinical liaisons to patients and providers regarding Natera’s test offerings as well as assisting in lab operations.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Review, finalize, and call out test results for Natera’s oncology products.

Answer health care provider inquiries regarding Natera’s oncology products.

Provide pre- and/or post- test telephone genetic information sessions to patients who are considering or have had testing through Natera.

Assist in development of patient consents, GC protocols, SOPs, and patient education materials.

Write or collaborate on abstracts or papers involving Natera oncology tests.

Support Natera’s oncology internal teams and field teams by answering questions and assisting with day to day lab operations.

Obtain and maintain GC licensure in all states offering licensure

Represent company at trade shows and medical conferences; Deliver presentations at scientific meetings and company promotional events (<10% travel).

This role works with PHI on a regular basis both in paper and electronic form and has access to various technologies to access PHI (paper and electronic) in order to perform the job.

Employee must complete training relating to HIPAA/PHI privacy, General Policies and Procedure Compliance training and security training as soon as possible but not later than the first 30 days of hire.

Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Genetic Counseling or equivalent degree

Board certified by the American Board of Genetic Counseling or the American Board of Medical Genetics

Two or more years of oncology clinical and/or laboratory GC experience

Ideal candidates will reside in the Pacific or Mountain Time Zones and be available to work a standard 8:00 AM–5:00 PM Pacific Time (PST/PDT) schedule.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

Exceptional communication skills (oral and written) and attention to detail

Demonstrated ability to work independently AND collaborate with team members

Adaptable to a dynamic and fast-paced environment

Familiarity with Google and Microsoft suite of work products

Compensation & Total Rewards

This range reflects a good-faith estimate of the base pay we reasonably expect to offer at the time of  hire. Final compensation will vary based on experience, qualifications, and internal equity considerations.

Compensation Range

$91,200—$114,000 USD
