Prairie Family Medicine is looking for a friendly, dependable, and motivated individual to join our front office team as a Medical Office Support / Receptionist!

Position Details:

Full-time, 5 days per week

Monday–Friday

Friendly, supportive, and fun work environment

Busy, fast-paced family medicine clinic

What You'll Be Doing:

Greeting patients and making them feel welcome

Answering phones and scheduling appointments

Checking patients in and out

Verifying patient information and insurance

Assisting with general front office duties

Working alongside a great team to keep our clinic running smoothly

What We're Looking For:

Someone who is organized, reliable, enjoys working with people, and can juggle a few things at once, because let's face it, there's never a dull moment in healthcare! Medical office experience is a plus, but a positive attitude, willingness to learn, and being a team player are just as important! Education and/or Experience

High school diploma or general education degree (GED).

Minimum 1 year experience in family care office.

Typing Skills: 45 wpm minimum.

Familiarity with EMR systems and insurance verification, preferred

General Physical Requirements

Manual dexterity for office machine operation including computer and calculator; stooping, bending to handle files and supplies, mobility to complete errands for deliveries, or sitting for extended periods of time.

The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Stress can be triggered by multiple staff demands and deadlines.

Work is performed in an office environment. Involves frequent contact with staff and patients.
