Specific Role:

We’re looking for a skilled and reliable Maintenance Technician to join our manufacturing team at EMIT Technologies. In this role, you’ll be responsible for diagnosing, troubleshooting, and maintaining a wide range of facility and industrial systems - including HVAC, forklifts, electrical systems, instrumentation & controls (I&E), PLCs, and production equipment. You’ll play a critical role in keeping our operations running safely, efficiently, and with minimal downtime.

Key Accountabilities:

Perform routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs on facility infrastructure and industrial equipment

Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems

Maintain and repair HVAC systems, including routine preventative maintenance

Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair forklifts and material handling equipment

Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems including panels, circuits, and wiring

Diagnose electrical malfunctions and ensure compliance with electrical codes

Maintain, troubleshoot, and calibrate instrumentation and control systems

Program, troubleshoot, and modify PLCs and related control systems to improve operational efficiency

Install, assemble, and test new equipment or system components

Read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics to troubleshoot issues

Document all maintenance activities, work orders, repairs, and parts used in a timely manner

Collaborate with production teams to minimize equipment downtime

Maintain an organized, clean, and well-stocked maintenance area

Assist with identifying and ordering replacement parts and maintenance supplies

Ensure all maintenance activities follow safety procedures, regulatory standards, and EMIT policies

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification or associate degree preferred

3+ years of maintenance experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment

Hands-on experience with HVAC, electrical systems, forklifts, I&E, and PLCs strongly preferred

Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting abilities

Working knowledge of PLC programming and control systems

Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals

Relevant certifications (HVAC, electrical, etc.) are a plus

Strong attention to detail, organization, and documentation

Comfortable working independently and as part of a team

Physical & Safety Requirements:

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Comfortable standing, walking, and moving throughout an entire shift

Always use applicable PPE

Follow all safety protocols when using tools and handling materials
