Lead Renewals Manager
WHAT YOU'LL DO
As a Lead Renewals Manager, you will own the end-to-end renewal process for a portfolio of customers within your assigned territory, with a particular focus on complex and strategic renewals. As a senior individual contributor within the Renewals team, you will be expected to operate with a high degree of autonomy, serve as a trusted advisor to cross-functional stakeholders, and help elevate renewal strategy and execution across the broader team.
In addition to managing your own portfolio, you will act as a subject matter expert and escalation point for the Renewals team, providing guidance and mentorship to Renewal Managers and contributing to the continued development of our processes, tools, and best practices.
Strategic Renewal Management: Lead the end-to-end renewal process for a portfolio of customers, including complex and strategic accounts. Develop renewal strategies, manage key timelines and stakeholders, and prepare commercial proposals to drive successful contract execution and revenue retention.
Complex Deal Leadership: Provide guidance on complex renewal structures, pricing considerations, negotiations, and non-standard scenarios, partnering with Sales, Customer Success, Deal Desk, Finance, Legal, and other stakeholders to navigate issues and drive appropriate outcomes.
Operational Excellence: Own the internal quoting and Order Form process for your portfolio, ensuring agreements are structured correctly, executed on time, and accurately reflected across internal systems. Act as a subject matter expert on renewal processes and operational best practices.
Cross-functional Partnership: Build strong relationships with Sales, Customer Success, and regional leadership, acting as a trusted advisor on renewal strategy, commercial considerations, customer risk, and opportunities for growth.
Forecasting & Insights: Lead regular regional forecast discussions, providing clear visibility into upcoming renewals, risks, contraction, and growth opportunities. Drive forecasting discipline and help stakeholders improve the quality and accuracy of renewal forecasts.
Churn & Retention Analysis: Own and contribute to regional churn and retention reporting, identifying trends across renewals, contractions, and growth within the customer base. Translate data into actionable insights and effectively communicate findings to cross-functional stakeholders and leadership.
Team Leadership & Mentorship: Serve as a senior resource within the Renewals team, providing day-to-day guidance, mentorship, and support to Renewal Managers. Share knowledge and best practices, help colleagues navigate complex situations, and contribute to the continued development of the team without direct people-management responsibility.
Escalation & Subject Matter Expertise: Act as a point of escalation for complex renewal scenarios and operational questions, applying strong commercial judgment and a deep understanding of internal policies and processes to recommend solutions.
Process & CRM Improvements: Identify opportunities to improve renewal workflows, systems, reporting, and CRM data quality. Partner with relevant teams to develop scalable solutions and drive adoption of best practices across the Renewals organization.
