About the Role

Klaviyo is seeking a Lead MarTech & AI Solutions Architect — an individual contributor role for someone who wants deep, hands-on ownership. In this role, you'll design and build the end-to-end architecture of how marketing data moves through our systems, from initial lead and data intake through to conversion, embedding AI and automation directly into that journey to accelerate it.

In this role, you'll also architect and own a centralized marketing hub spanning the full marketing lifecycle — from budget allocation and planning, through campaign execution, to using performance insights to accelerate the next planning cycle and improve ROI.

This role carries high ownership and visibility: you're the architect who understands how every system connects, why it's built that way, and where it needs to go next — building the technical foundation that turns customer journeys and personalization, planning cycles, and cross-functional decisions into a single, connected ecosystem.

How You'll Make a Difference

Design and build AI-powered marketing capabilities into our systems, from generative AI use cases to predictive scoring and intent-based automation, that accelerate the intake-to-conversion journey.

Serve as the technical owner of how marketing systems integrate with one another — proactively catching where data breaks or logic conflicts, and implementing the architectural solutions needed to evolve the ecosystem to support business growth.

Build and connect an ecosystem that accelerates customer journeys through personalization across the funnel — leveraging behavioral, product, and intent signals to maximize acquisition, conversion, and expansion

Turn performance data and business requirements into architecture and process improvements that shorten planning cycles and improve marketing ROI.

Partner cross-functionally with Lifecycle, Marketing Analytics, Sales Ops, and other technical teams to align system architecture with business needs — representing the technical point of view in planning and governance conversations.

Perform solution architecture reviews and serve as a critical advisor on technical design decisions — flagging trade-offs and ensuring alignment across systems, teams, and outcomes

Build and own a centralized marketing hub spanning the entire execution lifecycle: budget allocation and planning, campaign execution, and the feedback loop that turns performance insights into faster planning cycles.

Who You Are

8+ years of experience in MarTech, with demonstrated ownership of enterprise-scale system architecture — not just implementing tools, but architecting how data, process, and strategy connect across the full marketing lifecycle.

Hands-on experience designing and building AI-powered marketing capabilities, from generative AI use cases to predictive scoring and intent-based automation, that solve real marketing problems.

Deep experience architecting HubSpot, Salesforce, and in-house systems at scale, including lead scoring, lifecycle automation, customer journey and personalization, campaign/opportunity data models, and cross-system data association.

Strong understanding of marketing budgeting, planning cycles, and ROI measurement — able to connect spend data directly to performance outcomes through architectural decisions.

Experience building scalable integrations — using APIs and middleware — across marketing systems (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce, NetSuite, Coupa).

A proven track record contributing to vendor evaluation and platform implementation for enterprise organizations.

A natural cross-functional partner — able to sit with cross-functional teams, translate their requirements into system architecture, and be the technical advisor they trust.

Excellent communication and documentation skills.
