Graduate Frontend Engineer - React/TypeScript
Your Mission:
The Onboarding & Activation team shapes the very first moments of a user’s journey with Bitpanda, turning a new signup into a verified, active account. We design and build the identity verification and activation experiences that millions of people rely on, working across web and mobile to create a path that feels effortless on the surface while meeting the technical and regulatory rigor a trusted financial platform demands.
What You’ll Do
Build & Learn: Develop and maintain web applications using React, NextJS, and TypeScript, working closely with senior engineers to turn product and design concepts into clean code.
Debug & Troubleshoot: Investigate bugs, maintain existing features, and resolve edge-case issues by collaborating directly with Product Managers, Engineering Managers, and Backend Engineers to analyze and explain technical root causes.
Contribute to Core Codebase: Help write modular UI components, manage state logic, and improve frontend flows that directly impact our global user base.
Maintain High Engineering Standards: Follow established coding standards (and contribute ideas to improve them), writing unit and integration tests (Jest, React Testing Library) to keep our platform secure and reliable.
Grow & Share: Participate actively in code reviews, technical discussions, and team learning sessions to accelerate your engineering career.
Who You Are
CS Fundamentals: Strong understanding of core Computer Science principles, including algorithms, object-oriented programming (OOP), operating systems, and a foundational grasp of how web browsers work under the hood.
Web Tech & Practical Exposure: Hands-on experience with JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, CSS3, React, and TypeScript, built through personal projects, open-source contributions, internships, or self-directed learning outside of university coursework.
Problem Solver & Analytical Thinker: Curious mindset with an aptitude for debugging complex issues and breaking down technical problems into clear solutions.
Quality & Best Practices: A desire to follow engineering best practices, write clean and maintainable code, and use testing frameworks to validate your work.
A strong interest or personal curiosity in cryptocurrency, fintech, stocks, or financial markets.
