The Role You'll Play

We operate a self-insured medical plan, a 401(k), and benefits programs across more than thirty countries, supported by a global network of brokers, consultants, advisors, carriers, and vendor partners.

You’re someone who asks, “How do we know?” You build systems that last, balance rigor with sound judgment, and recognize that employee trust is essential. You’ll join at a meaningful moment as we grow, evolve our systems, and strengthen the foundation behind our global benefits programs.

Lead the P&C compliance calendar, including filings, notices, attestations, controls, self-audits, remediation, and clear documentation of key decisions

Govern our benefits policy inventory, plan documents, wrap documents, and SPDs, ensuring eligibility definitions and administration remain consistent across documents, vendor systems, and our HRIS

Oversee HIPAA privacy and security governance for our self-insured plan, connecting policies, business associate agreements, training, incident response, and breach notification protocols into a cohesive program

Support retirement plan governance through committee operations, fiduciary oversight, regulatory filings, participant disclosures, and monitoring of external partners

Establish governance frameworks for global leave, time off, and accommodations, including documentation and escalation standards, while helping align programs with statutory requirements

Strengthen vendor and operational resilience by holding external partners accountable, maintaining a durable SOP library, and leading contingency planning for carrier, TPA, and data feed transitions

Guide global benefits governance, due diligence, and entity transitions, assessing plan liabilities, determining what merges or terminates, and protecting COBRA and coverage continuity through acquisitions and integrations

Lead benefits-related committees and risk programs, including HIPAA privacy and security, accommodations, whistleblower hotline governance, business travel accident, and workers’ compensation interactions with leave and disability, in partnership with Legal, Internal Audit, HR Technology, P&C Operations, Finance, Payroll, Procurement, Security, and regional teams

The Experience You’ll Bring

7+ years of experience in benefits compliance, governance, consulting, or a related field

Experience supporting self-insured health plans and applying requirements related to ERISA, HIPAA, ACA, COBRA, Form 5500 reporting, mental health parity, and the Consolidated Appropriations Act

Experience supporting benefits programs across multiple countries and navigating privacy, statutory, and operational requirements across jurisdictions

Experience leading audits, compliance assessments, or reviews and translating findings into completed remediation plans

Ability to interpret contracts and plan documents, assess vendor performance, and identify gaps between program requirements and day-to-day administration

A record of building durable processes, controls, and documentation, using root-cause analysis and sound judgment to improve, rebuild, or remove ineffective processes

Experience with modern HR systems, ideally including an implementation, migration, or major transformation; familiarity with governance, risk, compliance, or audit management platforms is a plus

Confidence using AI tools, including Claude, to accelerate research, documentation, and analysis while applying thoughtful judgment; CEBS, CBP, or similar credentials are welcome
