IT Technician
Position Summary
We are seeking a proactive and customer focused IT Technician to join our IT team in the Tampa area. As the first point of contact for technical issues, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring smooth day-to-day operations by providing timely support and excellent service to our end users.
What You'll Do
Serve as the initial point of contact for all IT-related queries via phone, email, or ticketing system
Diagnose and resolve basic hardware, software, and network issues
Log, track, and manage support tickets, ensuring timely updates and resolution
Escalate complex issues to second or third-line support teams as needed
Set up and configure desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices
Assist in user onboarding by creating accounts and configuring access to systems
Perform routine software installations, updates, and basic system maintenance
Document solutions and contribute to the IT knowledge base and support documentation
Deliver clear, friendly, and non-technical communication to users
Maintain a high level of customer service and ensure user satisfaction with each interaction
What You Bring
3 years of experience in a technical support or help desk role preferred
Working knowledge of Windows OS, Microsoft Office Suite, Entra/Azure AD, Intune, and basic networking concepts
Familiarity with service desk tools and ticketing systems
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Certifications such as CompTIA A+, ITIL Foundation, or Microsoft 365 Fundamentals
Experience supporting remote users and troubleshooting VPN, printers, or email issues

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time exempt position with typical working hours of Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Hours and work shifts may change in accordance with department and business needs. Exempt Employees must have the ability to be on-call and available, as business needs require.
Work Environment
This job operates in an office setting.
Travel
Minimal travel is required for this role, approximately 5%.
Base Pay Range
The compensation range shown below is a good faith estimate and reflects the expected base pay for this position upon hire. This is just one component of Metrea's overall approach to total rewards and final compensation decisions, including the ultimate salary or hourly rate agreed upon, may vary depending on factors such as job location, job-specific knowledge, skills, experience, and the overall negotiated compensation package. $55,000—$75,000 USD
