Intern, Frontend QA Engineering
Your Mission
We're looking for a Frontend QA Engineering Intern to support our mission of delivering reliable, secure, and high-performing automated solutions. In this role, you’ll work alongside experienced QA engineers and developers to test new features, identify issues, and ensure the best possible user experience from the UI level.
Your focus will be on frontend testing across key example projects, such as operational workflows, AI integrations, and low-code automation tools. Leveraging modern low-code platforms like Appian and UiPath, your curiosity, attention to detail, and understanding of software quality principles will be key in maintaining Bitpanda’s standards of excellence, innovation, and operational scalability.
What You’ll Do
Execute Frontend Testing: Support QA in ensuring product quality, reliability, and performance through structured frontend testing, validating end-to-end user journeys, AI integrations, and automated business processes.
Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with developers, Business Analysts, and cross-functional stakeholders to understand requirements, document test cases, identify potential quality risks early in the development cycle and support UAT cycles.
Test Low-Code Test Automation: Design, execute, and maintain frontend test cases using low-code automation tools such as Appian and UiPath, ensuring complete alignment with product and business objectives.
Monitor & Track Bugs: Assist in monitoring, reporting, and tracking defects using standard QA tools and workflows (Jira), contributing clear visual proofs and step-by-step reproduction details for efficient issue resolution.
Drive Quality in Agile Sprints: Participate actively in sprint planning and review meetings, sharing insights to enhance frontend test coverage and drive a culture of quality across teams.
Who You Are
Frontend & Quality Mindset: Detail-oriented and proactive, with a keen interest in user experience, UI workflows, and ensuring the overall reliability of software products.
Low-Code & Automation Curious: Familiar with core testing concepts (manual testing, test automation, agile methodologies) and eager to gain hands-on experience with low-code platforms like Appian and UiPath.
Methodical Problem-Solver: Possess a strong analytical mindset to test beyond happy paths, naturally exploring boundary limits, non-numeric edge cases, and unexpected UI behaviors.
Structured Communicator: Excellent collaborator able to document findings clearly, articulate technical issues with concrete real-world examples, and contribute to continuous team improvement.
Relevant Academic Background: Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field (preferred but not required).
