The role

We are looking for an Intercompany Accountant to support the Group's intercompany accounting processes across our international group, with a focus on cost-plus calculations, intercompany reconciliations, and period-end close.

This is a hands-on accounting role suited to someone who enjoys working with detailed financial data and resolving discrepancies. The role works closely with local finance teams and other Group Finance stakeholders across entities and time zones.

The role is responsible for the accurate, complete, and timely delivery of assigned intercompany accounting activities, from source-data validation and cost-plus calculations through posting, reconciliation, issue resolution, and close support. The position operates within approved accounting policies, intercompany agreements, methodologies, and control requirements, escalating material or unusual matters to the Intercompany Manager.

Your responsibilities will include:

Cost-plus calculations and agreement support

Prepare end-to-end cost-plus calculations in accordance with approved intercompany agreements, methodologies, and mark-up rates.

Extract and validate cost data, identify eligible costs, and apply agreed allocation keys, exclusions, and mark-ups.

Maintain detailed calculation schedules, ensuring traceability to source accounting records and supporting documentation.

Calculate periodic intercompany charges and true-ups, and prepare the related journal entries for review and approval.

Coordinate with local finance teams to confirm cost inputs and ensure timely recording of charges by both counterparties.

Reconcile calculated charges to invoiced and recorded amounts, investigate differences, and prepare proposed corrections.

Support the maintenance of documentation required to evidence the application of approved intercompany agreements and cost-plus methodologies.

Reconciliations and discrepancy follow-up

Help with monthly intercompany profit-and-loss reconciliations and quarterly balance-sheet reconciliations using NetSuite reports and established templates.

Match transactions and balances between group entities by counterparty and currency.

Investigate differences arising from timing, foreign exchange, missing entries, incorrect coding, or other posting issues.

Follow up with local finance teams to obtain supporting information and track outstanding items through resolution.

Prepare proposed correcting entries for review and post approved adjustments.

Identify recurring mismatch patterns and communicate root causes and practical remediation actions to the Intercompany Manager.

Period-end close and reporting

Complete assigned intercompany close activities within agreed deadlines and in line with the Group close calendar.

Keep reconciliation trackers up to date, clearly documenting unresolved differences, follow-up actions, owners, and dependencies.

Provide clear explanations and supporting evidence for external audits, internal reviews, and other finance queries.

Communicate potential close risks early when required inputs, confirmations, or corrections are not received on time.

SOX and internal controls

Prepare and document a defined sub-set of the FSCP-REP control series related to intercompany processes

We expect you to have:

5+ years of experience in accounting, preferably intercompany accounting or general ledger within an international or multi-entity organisation.

Practical experience preparing cost allocations, intercompany recharges, or cost-plus calculations is an advantage.

Strong Excel skills, including lookups and pivot tables.

Experience with NetSuite or a comparable ERP system; NetSuite experience is an advantage.

A degree or equivalent qualification in accounting, finance, or a related discipline.

Strong written and spoken English for communication with international finance teams.

Strong understanding of journal entries, account reconciliations, foreign currency (FX), and month-end close processes.

Ability to work confidently with large financial datasets, identify patterns in reconciliation differences, and document clear root-cause analysis.

Strong attention to detail and a structured approach to repetitive, deadline-driven accounting work.

Comfort working in a fast-changing, international and post-IPO environment where processes and responsibilities may evolve as the Group grows.

A collaborative approach and willingness to support colleagues across entities and time zones.
