HR Manager, Facilities
About the role
Grüns is opening a second warehouse facility and we need a sharp, people-first HR Manager to help us do it right. This role is the on-the-ground HR presence across two facilities: our Pennsylvania site (home base) and our Roanoke, TX location. You'll own the full employee lifecycle, from onboarding and payroll to employee relations and recruiting, while building the systems that help both facilities run at a high level as we scale.
You'll support a diverse, fast-moving population of both salaried and hourly employees. You need to be bilingual in English and Spanish, fluent in both the administrative and human sides of HR, and comfortable making judgment calls in real time. You'll bring our values and culture into every interaction at both sites.
This role is part of our HQ people team and sits on-site at our Pennsylvania facility with quarterly travel to our Roanoke, TX location. We come together twice a year for off-sites where the whole team connects IRL.
In this role, you will:
Build and run a scalable onboarding process, including paperwork, E-Verify, and culture training aligned to the Grüns way of operating, plus a smooth, repeatable path for converting high-performing temps to employees
Own payroll processing, HRIS changes, compliance, and offboarding, including performance documentation, exit interviews, and support on terminations
Co-lead recruiting for the Pennsylvania facility, hiring hourly teams and supervisors in partnership with Operations leadership as the site grows
Serve as first-line employee relations partner to supervisors and hourly employees, running investigations and documenting with care
Build and deliver a quarterly competitive comp analysis for both facilities, and run the programs that keep people engaged and reduce turnover
Earn the trust of Spanish-speaking team members, so information and expectations flow clearly between HQ, supervisors, hourly, and temp staff
Improve the systems and reporting we use today so they work for a warehouse environment
Travel to Roanoke at least once per quarter to maintain presence, relationships, and compliance across both sites
We're looking for someone who:
Has 5+ years of progressive HR experience, with direct experience supporting hourly, warehouse, or manufacturing populations
Is fully bilingual in English and Spanish, and can give hard feedback in both
Has run employee relations in practice: investigations, performance documentation, and difficult conversations where the answer wasn't obvious
Has hands-on command of people operations: payroll, onboarding, offboarding, and compliance
Has recruited hourly and supervisory roles at volume and can point to the results
Is proficient in HR tools, including an HRIS, E-Verify, Greenhouse, Indeed, and LinkedIn
Has handled sensitive, confidential information with discretion and strong judgment
Approach to the role:
Is people-first: warm, direct, and respected on the floor and by leadership
Holds a high bar for talent and for process, and doesn't settle for good enough
Surfaces issues early and arrives with a solution, not just the problem
Has strong judgment and makes the call when there's no handbook page to point to
Sweats the details that matter most, like pay accuracy, documentation, and compliance, and keeps improving what they build
Is equally comfortable having direct conversations with a line associate and partnering with Ops leadership on a complex termination
Compensation & Benefits:
At Grüns, we're committed to providing a competitive total compensation package — grounded in market data that considers our size, stage, industry, and location. For this role, the base salary range is $100,000-$130,000 plus bonus depending on experience, paired with a comprehensive benefits package designed to support the well-being and growth of our team.
