Head of Talent Acquisition
The Role
We are seeking an experienced Head of Talent Acquisition to join our rapidly growing technology startup. This critical leadership role will be responsible for building and scaling a high-performing global recruiting organization, implementing AI-powered recruiting strategies, and serving as a trusted partner to our executive team. The ideal candidate will combine a deep understanding of talent acquisition best practices with a passion for innovation and automation. San Francisco Bay Area candidates strongly preferred due to the proximity to our executive team.
What You’ll Do:
Lead and scale the Talent Acquisition function to support Apollo’s rapid growth across all business units, including R&D, go-to-market, and G&A.
Design and execute a global recruiting strategy that leverages AI and automation to drive efficiency, quality, and an exceptional candidate experience.
Build and mentor a high-performing TA team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability.
Partner closely with the executive team and senior leaders to forecast hiring needs and align recruiting priorities with business objectives.
Establish and track key recruiting metrics to measure performance, optimize processes, and drive data-driven decision making.
Collaborate with Marketing and People teams to enhance Apollo’s employer brand and attract top-tier candidates.
Implement scalable recruiting operations, tools, and systems to enable a seamless and efficient hiring process.
What You Bring:
10+ years of recruiting experience, ideally including time at a high-growth startup.
Proven track record of scaling TA functions in late-stage startups or unicorn-stage companies, ideally with PLG and SMB go-to-market experience.
Deep familiarity with AI-powered recruiting tools and a track record of using technology to improve recruiting outcomes.
Experience managing global recruiting teams and hiring across technical, go-to-market, and G&A roles.
Strong operational mindset, with expertise in recruiting metrics, process design, and systems implementation.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and influence at all levels of the organization.
Strategic thinker with a bias for action and a hands-on approach to execution.
The listed Pay Range reflects the total cash compensation inclusive of annual base salary and annual bonus as applicable. For sales roles, the range provided is the role’s On Target Earnings ("OTE") range, meaning that the range includes both the sales commissions/sales bonus target and annual base salary for the role. This salary range may be inclusive of several career levels at Apollo and will be narrowed during the interview process based on a number of factors, including the candidate’s experience, qualifications, and location. Applicants interested in this role who are not located in the US may request the annual salary range for their location during the interview process.

San Francisco Pay Range
$292,000—$365,000 USD
