The GTM Technology team sits within GTM Operations and owns the systems, architecture, and automation that power Plaid's go-to-market motion — Salesforce administration and platform architecture, quote-to-cash, lead-to-cash data integrity, and the evaluation and rollout of new GTM tooling, including AI and agentic tooling. We partner closely with Sales, Finance, and Engineering to make sure the systems behind revenue are accurate, scalable, and increasingly automated.

We're hiring a GTM Technology Engineer to help build and maintain the technical backbone of our GTM systems. This is a hands-on engineering role for someone who can write production-quality Salesforce code (Apex, LWC, SOQL/SOSL), design clean integrations across our GTM stack (Salesforce, CPQ, contract lifecycle management, sales engagement, data warehouse, and more), and bring an AI-forward, builder mentality to how we automate and scale GTM Operations workflows.

You'll work on everything from diagnosing and fixing Apex logic that drives revenue-critical fields, to building integrations that connect Salesforce with adjacent platforms, to designing and deploying AI-powered agents and automations (using LLM APIs, MCP servers, and agentic workflows) that remove manual work from the GTM org. You'll report into GTM Technology and work alongside Salesforce architects, GTM Operations partners, and Engineering.

Responsibilities

- Salesforce development: Design, build, and maintain Apex classes, triggers, Lightning Web Components, and Flows that support core GTM processes.

- Data integrity & diagnostics: Investigate and resolve issues in revenue-critical Apex services, tracing root causes across triggers, flows, and integration touchpoints.

- Cross-platform integration: Build and maintain integrations between Salesforce and the broader GTM stack (CPQ, CLM/contract tools, sales engagement platforms, data enrichment tools, data warehouse) using middleware (e.g., MuleSoft, Tray.io http://Tray.io), REST/SOAP APIs, and event-driven patterns.

- AI & automation: Prototype and productionize AI-assisted workflows — using LLM APIs, Salesforce-hosted MCP servers, and agentic tooling — to automate manual RevOps processes (deal reviews, data QA, reporting, triage).

- Platform architecture: Contribute to Salesforce architecture decisions (data model, sharing model, integration patterns, CI/CD via tools like Copado, Gearset) that keep the org scalable as Plaid's GTM motion grows.

- Partnership: Work directly with RevOps, Deal Desk, Sales leadership, and Engineering to translate business requirements into reliable, well-tested technical solutions.

- Quality & governance: Write testable, documented code; participate in code review and release management; support SOX/ITGC controls relevant to revenue systems where applicable.

Requirements

- 4+ years of hands-on Salesforce development experience — Apex, Lightning Web Components, Flow, SOQL/SOSL, and integration patterns (REST/SOAP, platform events, middleware).

- Experience with CPQ (Salesforce CPQ or similar) and a working understanding of quote-to-cash / lead-to-cash data flows.

- Hands-on experience designing and deploying AI-powered workflows, agentic systems, or LLM-backed automations that improve operational efficiency — building with AI tools, not just using them.

- Strong debugging and systems-thinking skills — comfortable tracing a data issue from a Salesforce field back through Apex logic, automation, and upstream integrations.

- Experience with integration/middleware platforms (MuleSoft, Tray.io http://Tray.io, Workato, or similar) and modern API design.

- Solid software engineering fundamentals: version control (Git), CI/CD, testing discipline, and code review practices.

- Excellent cross-functional communication skills — comfortable working directly with GTM Operations, Sales, Deal Desk, and Finance stakeholders to gather requirements and explain technical tradeoffs.

- Comfortable operating in ambiguity, with a proactive, builder-oriented mindset.

- Salesforce certifications (Platform Developer I/II, Application Architect) are a plus but not required.
