Opportunity

Email is Twin's existing digital acquisition channel, but it's currently under-performing a fixable problem: high-volume sends are landing in Gmail's Promotions tab, which has paused content testing until placement is resolved. SMS is the opposite situation — entirely net-new, zero SMS sent today, but built on the same Braze platform Email already runs on, so there's no new infrastructure to stand up, only a new channel to launch on infrastructure that already exists.

This role owns both channels end to end, reporting to the Associate Director of Acquisition Strategy & Channel Ops, who sets cross-channel priority and sequencing across Direct Mail, Email/SMS, and Search & Discovery. This is an execution and testing role, not a standalone-strategy role — the "what and when" across channels is orchestrated one level up; this role owns the "how well" on Email and SMS specifically.

Responsibilities

Email Program Ownership

Own email end to end: creative testing, cadence, segmentation execution, and the day-to-day Braze platform relationship.

Resolve the Gmail Promotions inbox-placement issue currently capping email's reach and blocking content testing — the immediate, dated problem this role inherits on day one.

SMS Buildout (net-new)

Build Twin's first SMS program from scratch on the existing Braze platform — greenfield channel, not greenfield infrastructure.

Own SMS consent and TCPA compliance from day one, since this is a new regulated channel with its own legal requirements distinct from email.

Instrumentation & Decision Logging

Log every creative, cadence, and segment decision — what was considered, what was chosen, and why — the same discipline as every other Channel Ops role, so today's judgment becomes tomorrow's training data for the Acquisition Engine.

Ensure every send is joinable to an individual lead record, not just reconcilable in aggregate.

Testing & Optimization

Design and run email and SMS A/B tests with a stated hypothesis and success metric before launch.

Build on the existing Motivation vs. Barrier messaging framework already validated in market, and extend it to SMS as that channel comes online.

Cross-Functional Partnership

Reports to the Associate Director, Acquisition Strategy & Channel Ops, who orchestrates priority and sequencing across all channel specialists and partners with the Senior Marketing Analyst and Technical Lead on measurement and infrastructure — this role executes within that direction.

Partner with Marketing on creative production and approval — this role tags and measures content; Marketing produces and approves it.

AI-Powered Execution

Use AI tools such as Claude to draft creative variants and accelerate reporting.

Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

4+ years in email marketing or marketing automation, ideally hands-on with Braze or a comparable ESP/CDP

Direct experience launching or scaling an SMS program, including consent and TCPA compliance basics

Strong grasp of deliverability and inbox-placement mechanics (sender reputation, authentication, list hygiene, Promotions-tab avoidance)

Comfortable working with lead-level data and campaign reporting in a CRM (Salesforce) and marketing automation platform

Experience designing and reading A/B tests

Comfortable executing within a channel strategy set by someone else, rather than setting standalone channel direction — this role reports into an orchestration layer, not around it

Preferred

Experience in a regulated industry with consent/compliance requirements beyond standard CAN-SPAM

SQL literacy

Experience partnering with a channel-orchestration manager or director rather than owning multi-channel strategy solo
