We are building an elite team, applying frontier technologies to the world’s biggest financial problems. We’re looking for bold thinkers. Sharp problem-solvers. Builders who are wired to make an impact. Robinhood isn’t a place for complacency, it’s where ambitious people do the best work of their careers. We’re a high-performing, fast-moving team with ethics at the center of everything we do. Expectations are high, and so are the rewards.

Robinhood’s Money team is building the next generation of banking and spending products for all Americans, starting with jaw-dropping Credit Cards. Our team members drive never-before-seen products and features from concept to launch to hyperscale.

As Director of Partnerships for our Money team, you will own the end-to-end partnerships strategy for Robinhood’s financial services ecosystem, from originating and closing high-stakes deals to scaling the relationships and teams that power our most critical products.

This role is based in our New York, NY office, with in-person attendance expected 5 days per week.

At Robinhood, we believe in the power of in-person work to accelerate progress, spark innovation, and strengthen community. Our office experience is intentional, energizing, and designed to fully support high-performing teams.

What you’ll do

Originating, negotiating, and closing high-impact partnerships with leading consumer brands, major retailers, and strategic partners to unlock compelling customer benefits, rewards, and experiences.

Lead end-to-end commercial negotiations with key partners, structuring multi-year agreements that cover commercial economics, legal, security, and privacy terms, always putting the user first.

Serve as the primary executive-facing relationship owner for Robinhood’s most strategic partners, driving quarterly business reviews, partner health metrics, and long-term roadmap alignment.

Partner directly with Product, Engineering, Design, and Research to translate partnership capabilities into product roadmap acceleration and new user-facing features at scale.

Build and lead a high-performing partnerships team, setting clear goals, developing talent, scaling the function, and driving operational rigor across partner onboarding, integration, and ongoing management.

Identify and lead strategic initiatives with partners that directly move team OKRs, improving economics, accelerating product delivery, and expanding Robinhood’s competitive position in financial services.

What you bring

Significant experience in partnerships, business development, or strategy within fintech, consumer technology, or financial services with a proven track record of closing and scaling complex, high-value deals from origination through execution.

Deep expertise in the financial services ecosystem: payment networks, banking infrastructure, embedded finance, and the business models that drive consumer fintech at scale.

Demonstrated ability to lead commercial negotiations end-to-end  including revenue-share models, API and data-sharing frameworks, and co-marketing structures with the cross-functional fluency to align Legal, Finance, and Engineering behind each deal.

Strong executive presence and communication skills, with the ability to influence and build trust with both internal senior leadership and C-suite contacts at partner organizations.

An established network within major payment networks (Visa, Mastercard), top-tier banks, or adjacent fintech platforms.

Leadership expectations

Our ambitious roadmap requires a great culture shaped by exceptional leaders. Here’s what we expect from them:

Drive high performance by setting clear, focused goals, giving real-time feedback, stretching top talent, and scaling impact through focus, innovation, and tech.

Hire and retain top talent by setting a high bar, hiring only those who raise it, investing in onboarding, and addressing talent issues quickly and fairly.

Create community by connecting work to purpose, removing friction while prioritizing safety, building trust and inclusion, and leading from the front with integrity.
