About the Role:

Maven is looking for a Director, GTM Operations & Architecture will own the strategy, systems, design, and reporting that power Maven's commercial engine. This role sits at the center of Salesforce administration, accountable for the business requirements and sales processes that drive it, providing the growth team with clean, trusted data and efficient workflows. You will report to the Head of Revenue Operations and partner closely with Salesforce engineering, Commercial Strategy, Sales, and Finance to keep our systems scalable, well-documented, and built for growth.

This is a player-coach role. You will have 1-2 direct reports while retaining end-to-end ownership of a few critical domains. The person in this seat will be the functional owner of our GTM tools and processes: defining what the business needs, translating those needs into system requirements, owning prioritization, and driving projects to completion. We are looking for a builder and an operator.

What You’ll Do:

Salesforce & GTM Systems Ownership: The Director will own Salesforce as the system of record for the GTM org, ensuring the platform is configured, automated, and maintained to support the sales process end to end

Owns the roadmap and end-to-end CRM strategy for Salesforce and adjacent systems

Develops deep fluency in how Sales, Finance, and Analytics use our GTM systems — the decisions they drive, the reports and fields they depend on, and the obstacles they face

Translates strategic and operational workflows into clear business and functional requirements, partnering with Salesforce engineering to deliver solutions that meet the needs of the business

Owns a clean, well-documented sales funnel model — pipeline stages, opportunity fields, account hierarchies — and maps data across systems

Leads AI strategy within the Salesforce ecosystem, identifying and building automation that reduces manual work

Troubleshoots system issues quickly and is the first point of escalation for sales tooling problems

Data Quality & Process Governance: The Director is the steward of data quality and process discipline across our GTM systems

Runs regular data hygiene audits — duplicate records, stale opportunities, missing fields — and drives resolution with sales teams

Owns QA through the deal lifecycle, from S1 opportunities to go-live — validating products, pricing, and contract terms against Salesforce before a deal is handed off to implementation

Defines, governs, and maintains the business rules for Maven's customer account hierarchy, including new accounts, restructures, and ongoing hygiene, to support accurate reporting and client operations

Documents and enforces sales process standards (stage definitions, required fields, deal desk workflows) so the pipeline reflects reality

Cross-Functional Operations Support: The Director is a hands-on operator across the broader GTM and Finance functions

Partners with Sales, Finance, Customer Success, and Engineering to identify bottlenecks and convert them into system-level solutions

Drives business analysis and program management for Salesforce-related initiatives, including scoping new requests, running discovery, and managing multi-phase implementation roadmaps

Supports Deal Desk with opportunity structuring, approval workflows, new pricing, and contract data accuracy in Salesforce

What You’ll Bring:

8+ years across Salesforce architecture, revenue operations, or GTM systems, including time at a B2B SaaS or healthcare company

Deep hands-on Salesforce skill: Understands best-practice system architecture and can design clear business and system requirements to achieve that build. Has designed account hierarchies and object models for complex B2B organizations, ideally where revenue moves through more than one channel or contract structure

Has built their own automation and AI-enabled tooling to replace manual GTM and revenue operations work; continually identifies inefficient processes and eliminates them

Has integrated Salesforce with the systems around it — data warehouse, BI, billing, and GTM tooling. At Maven this means Looker, BigQuery, NetSuite, Gong, ZoomInfo, and Clay

Proficient in Looker or equivalent BI, with a track record of owning recurring reporting and QA that other teams depend on

Can take an ambiguous request, run discovery, and come back with a scoped, multi-phase plan — and can hold a room of senior stakeholders to a decision once it’s made

Writes clearly, and can turn an architecture decision into documentation a sales leader and an engineer can both use

Ready to build and lead a team while remaining a deeply hands-on operator

Strong Preference For:

Salesforce Application Architect or System Architect credentials, or the designer certifications that ladder into them (Data Architecture & Management, Sharing & Visibility, Integration Architecture)

Familiarity with Apex and sound judgment on when custom code is warranted over configuration

Experience at a high-growth healthcare or healthcare benefits company

Has run a migration or system consolidation end to end, including the unglamorous parts: de-duplication, cleansing, bulk loads

The base salary range for this role is $204,000 - $230,000 per year. You will also be entitled to receive equity and benefits. Individual pay decisions are based on a number of factors, including qualifications for the role, experience level, and skillset.

This role requires active work authorization in the US.
