Construction Management Internship (Summer 2027)
Overview
The Construction Manager Intern will work on-site alongside the Woolpert construction management team working on aviation and/or road and bridge construction projects. Projects could consist of bridge deck overlays or replacements, highway paving, or reconstruction, airport runway or taxiway construction, electrical (nav aids, lighting, conduit, etc.) or, subgrade stabilization – to name a few. All these projects directly impact the communities where we live and work.
We are open to students in the following states: Colorado, Wyoming, Texas, Utah, Indiana or Ohio
This internship has a significant portion of work onsite/in-office. Woolpert does not provide housing or relocation for internships/co-ops.
We are unable to provide visa sponsorship for this position. Applicants must already possess work authorization in the country the job is located.
What you will do:
Work as a member of an industry leading construction management team
Assist construction managers with inspections of construction projects and materials for compliance with applicable codes, standards, and approved construction plans/specifications
Gain real-world experience by working on actual projects alongside experienced inspectors and construction managers
Assist on a variety of projects spanning clients and disciplines.
Work as a member of a team that coordinates with other internal teams and external subs and clients.
Perform tasks and solve problems alongside the construction management team
Evaluate, select and apply standard techniques, procedures and criteria
Assists with performing quality control reviews and quality assurance procedures within areas of expertise
Reviews and interprets construction documents, site drawings, as-built drawings, and specifications
Produce daily and weekly reports
Opportunity to work with current technology including, materials testing, drones, pavement profilograph, surveying, pipe inspections and pavement marking reflectomer testing.

Be enrolled as a student at an accredited college or university, preferably with at least sophomore status
Pursuing a Civil Engineering or construction management degree (or related field)
Have a general interest in construction management / inspection
Have strong written and verbal communication skills
Have a good attitude
Be self-motivated and self-reliant
Have exceptional multitasking and time management skills
Have reliable transportation
Ability to analyze and program independently
Applies professional judgment and discretion
Enjoy being in the field rather than behind a desk
Assignments may include travel and extended overnight stays.

Base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
Pay Range
$23—$27 USD
