Communications Manager
Constant Contact's Corporate Communications team tells the company's story to the press, to our online community, and to our own employees. We're looking for a Communications Manager who can hit the ground running as a versatile, high-output writer. From day one, you'll draft press releases, executive thought leadership, executive social content, and internal communications. You'll sit on the Global Communications team and work across all of our practice areas: PR, Organic Social, Internal Communications, and Employer Brand.
This role is for a strong writer who wants to keep growing. You'll bring a solid drafting foundation, curiosity, and sharp thinking, and we'll give you broad exposure across the discipline and direct work with senior leaders.
What you'll do
Draft press releases and announcements. Take a release from brief to polished draft with minimal hand-holding, including quotes, supporting materials, and pitch angles.
Ghostwrite executive thought leadership. Draft bylines, blog posts, and point-of-view pieces that sound like the executive, not like a press release - content they are proud to put their name behind.
Write executive social content. Draft LinkedIn posts and other social content for our CEO and leadership team that feels authentic, timely, and on-strategy.
Support internal communications. Draft employee announcements, leadership messages, and all-hands content. Comfort delivering hard news where tone and timing matters as much as wording.
Adapt one story for many audiences. Turn a single moment into a release, an executive post, and an employee note, each in the right register.
Support the broader team. Help with media materials, content calendars, coverage tracking, and short-form video for social as needs arise.
Use AI as a tool, not a substitute. Use it to speed up research and drafts, but your job is the judgment, accuracy, and voice that make the final version ours. You’re accountable for everything that goes out under our brand.
What you bring
3–5 years of experience in communications, PR (agency or in-house), journalism, or content roles.
A proven record of drafting press releases, plus demonstrated experience writing in executives' and brand voice, whether bylines, speeches, internal communications, social posts, or beyond.
The ability to capture a leader's voice from interviews, past content, and feedback, and to take heavy edits while building trust and without losing momentum.
Strong news judgment and a clear sense of what makes executive content worth reading. Existing media relationships are a plus.
Comfort juggling multiple stakeholders and deadlines, and the judgment to ask which priority wins while handling competing opinions diplomatically.
Curiosity about the whole discipline and a low-ego, roll-up-your-sleeves approach.
Writing samples required. Finalists will complete a short writing exercise.
