We are seeking a Business Process Architect to join our Digital & Data team. In this role, you'll partner with business leaders, project teams, IT, and operational stakeholders to design, implement, and continuously improve the business processes that keep Interstates running efficiently.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Lead cross-functional business process improvement and technology implementation initiatives from planning through deployment and long-term operational support.

Evaluate business workflows across multiple teams to identify process gaps, inefficiencies, dependencies, and improvement opportunities.

Partner with business leaders, subject matter experts, IT, data teams, and external vendors to gather requirements, evaluate solutions, and drive implementation.

Translate business needs into practical workflows, process standards, business requirements, and system configurations.

Facilitate project planning activities, including prioritization, work sequencing, risk management, issue resolution, and stakeholder communication.

Research solution options, develop recommendations, present findings, and oversee implementation of approved improvements.

Ensure processes are scalable, standardized, and practical for employees in both office and field environments.

Support change management, training, user adoption, and knowledge transfer for new processes and technology.

Establish feedback loops with users and business leaders to identify enhancement opportunities and continuously improve business capabilities.

Prioritize enhancements based on business value, usability, risk, strategic alignment, and implementation effort.

Coordinate with IT and support teams to define ownership of systems, integrations, data flows, and ongoing maintenance.

Communicate project status, key decisions, risks, and implementation progress with business leaders and stakeholders.

Maintain focus on delivering measurable business outcomes through improved execution, workflow consistency, user adoption, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, Information Technology, Operations, or a related field preferred. Equivalent industry experience will also be considered.

Experience leading cross-functional projects, business process improvements, system implementations, or technology-enabled change initiatives.

Strong understanding of operational workflows within construction, engineering, manufacturing, automation, project delivery, or related industries.

Experience translating business needs into process improvements and implementation plans.

Demonstrated ability to standardize and improve processes across multiple teams or business functions.

Strong systems-thinking skills with the ability to understand the relationships between people, processes, technology, and data.

Experience collaborating with business leaders, IT teams, data teams, vendors, and subject matter experts.

Excellent communication, facilitation, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and navigate ambiguity while driving projects to completion.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office and collaborative work management tools. Experience with enterprise business systems, workflow platforms, or construction technology is preferred.

Compensation: The anticipated salary range for this position is $120,000–$160,000 annually. Final compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, skills, and overall fit for the role.

Travel: This is a remote position with up to 35% travel for meetings, implementation support, training, project coordination, stakeholder engagement, and visits to Interstates offices and project locations as needed.
