BI Analyst
The Role
We are seeking a BI Analyst to help design, build, and evolve scalable data solutions for digital marketing and advertising use cases. Working closely with our Media and Solutions Engineering teams, you will be responsible for end-to-end business intelligence activities—from conducting data discovery and maintaining ETL pipelines to supporting reporting solutions for our clients.
This is a hybrid client-facing and internal delivery role, working with the regional Monks team and various international clients.
Key responsibilities
Design, build and maintain robust dashboards, reports and visualizations that track media campaign performance and KPIs.
Analyze complex data sets in-depth to identify trends, callout issues, and gather insights.
Maintain integration pipelines (ETL/ELT) in cloud environments (GCP, AWS, Azure) that integrate marketing and advertising data across DSPs, ad servers, and third-party platforms to create reporting solutions for Media teams
Data Quality & Governance: Implement auditing, data validation rules, security protocols, and compliance frameworks to maintain data integrity. Establish QA frameworks and build internal/external tools for automated data validation and proactive monitoring.
Work directly with clients and internal teams to understand their measurement needs, configure reports, and present findings that support data-driven decisions.
Document data solutions to ensure transparency with our clients and reproducibility
Drive continuous improvements in reporting processes, templates and automation to scale delivery and reduce manual effort.
Research, evaluate, and adopt emerging tools, technologies, and industry best practices in data analytics to drive innovation and efficiency.
Tools
We are looking for someone experienced with (or familiar with) the following tools and technologies:
BI/visualization tools such as Google Data Studio, Tableau, Power BI.
Experience with SQL databases
Cloud platforms such as Databricks, AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
Data modeling and transformation tools (ETL/ELT), such as DBT
Experience working with data connectors (e.g., Supermetrics, Funnel, Tracer, etc) is a plusKnowledge of media reporting UIs / APIs (e.g., DV360, SA360, Meta) is a plusGitHub and GitHub Actions (CI/CD processes) is a plusPython is a plusKnowledge of cloud infrastructure (Dataform, Cloud Storage, Cloud Monitoring, Dataflow, BigQuery Data Transfer Service, Storage Transfer Service) is a plusExposure to AI-assisted development tools (Cursor, Claude, Codex) for accelerating implementation is a plus
What we’re looking for
A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in industrial engineering, informatic engineering, computer science, applied mathematics, or a related quantitative field—or equivalent work experience.
2+ years of experience with any combination of analytics, marketing analytics, and analytical techniques for marketing, customer, and business applications.
Hands-on experience with BI/visualization tools such as Google Data Studio, Tableau, Power BI.
Strong SQL skills, including experience with regular expression functions, CASE expressions, and common table expressions (CTEs).
Hands on experience with Cloud infrastructure such as Databricks, AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
Self-starter with strong time and project management skills, and high attention to detail
Excellent problem-solving skills including the ability to analyze and resolve complex problems using data
Strong communication skills — you can explain technical implementation details to non-technical stakeholders and document your work clearly
Advanced English. This will be tested during the selection process
