About The Role
Champions Club is looking for an energetic and dependable Barback to join our Food & Beverage team. The Barback plays an essential role in creating a seamless and elevated bar experience by ensuring our Bartenders and Servers have everything they need to deliver exceptional service to our members and guests.
Our Barbacks are responsible for keeping the bar fully stocked, clean, organized, and prepared throughout service. From replenishing liquor, beer, wine, ice, glassware, and garnishes to assisting with bar setup and breakdown, this role works closely with the Bartending and various Front of House teams to anticipate needs and keep service moving efficiently. The ideal candidate is proactive, organized, hospitality-driven, and comfortable working with a sense of urgency in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
**This is a part-time position, working approximately 15 – 25 hours per week.**
Responsibilities
Support Champions Club's culture by creating a positive, welcoming, and professional experience for members and guests.
Assist Bartenders with the daily setup, organization, maintenance, and breakdown of all bar areas.
Maintain adequate levels of liquor, beer, wine, mixers, garnishes, ice, glassware, and other bar supplies throughout service.
Anticipate Bartender needs and replenish supplies proactively to ensure efficient and uninterrupted service.
Prepare garnishes, juices, mixers, and other bar ingredients according to established standards.
Refill ice wells, replace empty bottles, change beer kegs, and restock coolers and service stations as needed.
Collect, wash, polish, and properly store glassware and bar utensils.
Maintain clean and organized bar tops, wells, coolers, storage areas, equipment, and surrounding service areas.
Assist with receiving, organizing, rotating, and properly storing beverage inventory and supplies.
Follow proper opening, closing, sanitation, and cleaning procedures for the bar.
Communicate effectively with Bartenders, Servers, Supervisors, and other Front of House Team Members to support smooth service.
Respond to member and guest needs with professionalism and promptly communicate requests or concerns to the appropriate Team Member.
Maintain awareness of bar operations and prioritize tasks appropriately during high-volume periods.
Follow all health, sanitation, food safety, alcohol-service, and company policies and procedures.
Handle glassware, beverages, equipment, and supplies safely and responsibly.
Maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude while remaining present and engaged with the team.
Assist other Front of House areas when needed to support the overall member experience.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Experience & Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred.
TABC and Food Handler certifications are required or must be obtained prior to your first day of employment.
Must be at least 18 years old.
Flexible availability, including evenings, overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays is required.
Previous barback, restaurant, hospitality, or high-volume service experience preferred.
Experience working in an upscale restaurant, private club, hotel, entertainment venue, or high-volume bar environment is a plus.
Strong sense of urgency with the ability to anticipate needs and remain organized during busy service periods.
Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with Bartenders and other Front of House Team Members.
Strong attention to cleanliness, organization, and detail.
Dependable with excellent attendance and time-management skills.
Ability to remain professional and productive in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and safely lift, carry, push, or move beverage cases, kegs, ice, and other bar supplies.
