Automation Engineer, Provisioning & Onboarding
As an Automation Engineer, Provisioning & Onboarding, you will be tasked with building and maintaining the workflows, scripts, and system integrations that set up customers' product access automatically. This role is the bridge between the daily technical workflows of the Provisioning Operations team and the provisioning automation roadmap, where you will scope revenue-impacting initiatives, drive cross-functional progress with IT, and close operational gaps before they become incidents.
What Will You Do?
Primary responsibilities include:
Ensure that SentinelOne is portrayed in a positive, authentic way as an ethical provider of reliable, effective, and scalable security solutions.
Expand provisioning automation coverage to free the team to focus on high-touch operational needs.
Partner with Product and GTM so provisioning workflows are built and tested ahead of new product rollouts, preventing gaps; identify and resolve systemic bottlenecks and process gaps before they cause high-stakes incidents.
Connect Salesforce, licensing and entitlement platforms, and product consoles so a closed order triggers provisioning actions downstream without manual steps.
Scope initiatives, write requirements, and drive progress with IT and Engineering partners on integrations, access, and tooling.
Size and prioritize initiatives by revenue, SLA, and customer impact, and keep the roadmap tied to month- and quarter-end needs.
Support the Provisioning Operations team's automated tools, scripts, and runbooks, and resolve technical blockers in daily workflows.
Test automated pipelines for defects, monitor them, handle exception and approval routing for non-standard requests, and keep entitlement and compliance controls intact.
Build reverse and conversion workflows that migrate customers and revoke access, reclaim licenses, and close instances when a term ends.
Document workflows and exceptions, and report automation coverage, time saved, and error rates to leadership.
What Skills and Knowledge Will You Bring?
Ideal candidates will have:
5 or more years of provisioning automation experience.
Experience with provisioning or workflow tooling and platforms, as well as Python, Workato, Make, and other automation tools.
Experience with provisioning, entitlement or licensing, order management, sales operations, or customer support operations.
Ability to turn manual, multi-step processes into documented, testable, automated workflows.
Strong project scoping and prioritization skills, with the ability to connect technical work to revenue and SLA impact.
Ability to meet tight deadlines while being extremely organized and detail-oriented, and to collaborate effectively with a strong sense of urgency and timeliness in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly and effectively, and to be enthusiastic, driven, and confident in clearly and persuasively articulating the company's mission, product, and business opportunity.
Experience with Salesforce, including automation, flows, or integrations is preferred.
Experience in the IT or Cybersecurity industry and prior experience in a SaaS provisioning or onboarding role are preferred.
Embodying the core values of SentinelOne (Trust, Accountability, OneSentinel, Relentlessness, Ingenuity, and Community) is preferred.
