The Appian Workplace Operations team acts as the vital physical and cultural backbone of our organization, creating collaborative and high-functioning corporate environments. This role offers an incredible, multi-faceted opportunity to serve as the critical "glue" at our McLean HQ, bridging the gap between facility operations, high-level administrative support, and corporate experience design. Instead of managing static, siloed office checklists, you will have the autonomy to execute impactful workplace events, optimize internal communication channels, and interact directly with executive leadership, clients, and partners.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Execute daily office operations and maintain a flawless, welcoming environment at our McLean headquarters as the primary point of contact for staff and visitors.

Manage high-level administrative support and executive assistance tasks, including complex calendar scheduling, corporate travel bookings, and department expense reporting.

Design and coordinate internal corporate events, utilizing a design-thinking approach to handle site selection, vendor sourcing, and food and beverage (F&B) logistics.

Maintain and update internal department homepages and digital communication artifacts, including newsletters, guides, and FAQs to boost internal protocol adoption.

Coordinate with external facility vendors and manage all incoming/outgoing logistics, mail distribution, and office supply tracking.

Partner with inter-departmental teams on strategic administrative projects that directly impact broader corporate efficiency and employee onboarding experiences.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Communications, or a related professional field.Experience: Workplace operations, executive assistance, hospitality management, or a high-touch corporate administrative role.

Operational Mastery: Proven mastery of office operations management, cross-functional event coordination, and professional vendor management.

Core Competencies: Demonstrated capability to operate independently, handle workplace ambiguity, and communicate precisely with individuals at all levels of an organization.

Productivity Suites: Advanced technical proficiency with corporate productivity software, specifically Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Prior experience utilizing specialized event management software or corporate travel management platforms.

Demonstrated understanding of design-thinking frameworks applied to workplace experience or corporate hospitality workflows.

We value experience with enterprise platforms such as Salesforce or ServiceNow, as these skills translate well into our Enterprise-Grade Orchestration environment.

The base salary range represents a good faith and reasonable estimate of the range at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be dependent on a number of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s relevant work experience, qualifications, internal peer equity, and market and business conditions that exist when extending an offer. A discretionary bonus may be awarded in recognition of individual and company performance.

Pay and benefits are subject to change at any time, consistent with the terms of any applicable compensation, commission, bonus, or benefit plans.

Base Salary Range

$72,000—$112,500 USD
