VP & GM: Product Platform
We are looking for a strategic and commercially minded product leader who combines strong platform thinking with a relentless focus on adoption and business value. You’re comfortable operating across product, technology and commercial considerations, turning complex and sometimes competing needs into clear priorities and scalable platform solutions.
You build credibility quickly and influence effectively across teams, including where you don’t have direct authority. You’re equally comfortable shaping strategy with senior leaders, making tough roadmap and investment trade-offs, and developing a high-performing product team.
The Role
Owns the end-to-end success of the Platform components, as a horizontal capability that other portfolio solutions build on and consume. Accountable not just for the health of the platform components individually, but for the penetration and value they deliver when embedded across the broader portfolio. Success is measured as much by cross-portfolio adoption as by each component’s standalone quality.
Responsibilities
Own the strategy, roadmap, and business performance for the Entersekt Platform including Portal, Administration, Reporting, Detection & Decisioning capabilities.
Set the product vision for how these & future components serve as reusable building blocks rather than siloed products
Partner with your Pier GMs to drive an explicit adoption strategy and targets for each component across all portfolio solutions (e.g., % of solutions integrated, active usage within each solution, time-to-integrate) and identify evolving needs that should be served via reusable platform components
Remove adoption blockers - technical debt, integration friction, packaging/pricing barriers, or lack of awareness - that slow uptake
Build the internal "go-to-market" motion for the platform itself: enablement, documentation, migration support, and success stories that make adoption easy for other product teams
Balance platform roadmap decisions against the sometimes-competing needs of multiple consuming product lines - arbitrating trade-offs transparently
Own cost, investment, and value-capture model for the platform
Define and track health metrics per component (usage, reliability, performance, satisfaction)
Build and lead product management (and potentially design/eng-partnership) for the three components
Represent Platform in executive/portfolio planning forums
Skills and Experience
Successful candidates for this role will generally possess the following qualifications and experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Commerce or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant professional experience essential.
Postgraduate qualification such as an MBA, Master’s degree in a relevant discipline, or equivalent executive/business education advantageous.
10+ years’ experience in Product Management, Product Leadership or a related technology product discipline, including significant experience in a senior product leadership role.
Proven experience owning product strategy, roadmaps and business performance for complex B2B technology, SaaS or platform products.
Demonstrated experience building or scaling platform products/shared capabilities consumed by multiple products, solutions or product teams.
Strong track record of driving platform adoption and measurable usage, including identifying and removing technical, integration, commercial and organisational barriers to adoption.
Experience balancing the competing requirements of multiple product lines and making transparent roadmap, investment and prioritisation trade-offs.
Experience developing business cases, investment models and value-capture approaches, with strong commercial and financial judgement.
Experience defining and managing product health and performance measures covering areas such as adoption, usage, reliability, performance and stakeholder/customer satisfaction.
Proven experience partnering closely with Engineering and technical leadership on architecture, integration, technical debt and platform scalability decisions.
Demonstrated experience influencing senior and executive stakeholders across functions, including achieving alignment without direct authority.
Proven people leadership experience, including building, developing and leading product teams and holding teams accountable for outcomes.
Personality Attributes
Strategic and systems-minded, able to connect customer, product, technology and business considerations.
Influential and collaborative, building alignment across diverse stakeholders and conflicting perspectives.
Commercially pragmatic, balancing long-term platform strategy with business and portfolio needs.
Decisive in ambiguity, comfortable navigating complexity and making clear trade-offs.
Low ego, high conviction, open to challenge and feedback while confident in making difficult decisions.
Clear and candid, able to simplify complex topics and communicate decisions with impact.
Outcome-focused, measuring success through adoption, value and results rather than output alone.
Accountable and dependable, taking ownership, following through and setting a strong standard for others.
