REPORTS TO: President of Direct Services
LOCATION: Remote Opportunity in Texas, Chicago or NYC
EMPLOYMENT TYPE: Full-Time, Exempt Employee
The Vice President of Operations is responsible for overseeing all Direct Services projects ensuring all projects are trained effectively, performing accordingly, and thriving within their communities. The primary responsibilities for this role will focus on leading Regional Directors, expenditure rates, driving metrics and performance, supporting liaison between Direct Services and Corporate, negotiating performance metrics and creating service delivery plans for projects, and securing new business opportunities. The ideal candidate must have the ability to interact with all staff across all levels and locations while maintaining productive relationships with coordinating workforce boards. Oversee operations for the Direct Services division
Lead and inspire the work of multi-unit teams and other executive leaders to successful outcomes
Create, communicate, and implement the organization’s vision, mission, and overall direction
Meet with Senior Leadership on a regular basis to monitor KPIs, and operational items to ensure the success of projects/programs
Develop and implement strategic plans that guide the direction of the business
Conduct onsite reviews at all Career Team locations
Host weekly check-ins with the Executive Director team & Regional Director Team
Maintain and monitor awareness of both the external and internal competitive landscape, opportunities for expansion, customers, markets, new industry developments, and standards
Approach each day and task with a “Zag” mindset
This position has been identified as a remote opportunity and does not require applicants to live in a certain city or distance from any of our locations
To Qualify for This Role, You Must Have:
Bachelor’s degree or higher or an equivalent combination of education and experience
6+ years of experience in Business Leadership, Public Relations, Education, and Human Services with leadership and management experience
5+ years of experience with computer proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and Google suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Google Mail, Google Calendar, Google Docs, Google Sheets, and Google Drive
5+ years of demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic team environment with an aptitude for communication, interpersonal skills to work cooperatively with others, show courteousness, and having a high level of professionalism
A demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality, handle personnel matters effectively, and handle employee and personnel inquiries with sensitivity, tact, and diplomacy
Ability to work across all levels of management and staff
Sharp attention to detail with exceptional organizational, analytical, research, and critical thinking skills, including the ability to perform and complete a high volume of work assignments with speed and accuracy
Exceptional time management skills to meet deadlines and work under pressure
Ability to meet accounting month-end deadlines
Ability to work independently on routine tasks and in a virtual team environment
A valid driver’s license

Travel: Position may require travel up to 25% of the time
