A leading provider of core components for global car manufacturers, VS Company is supporting the emerging trend of the vehicle industry.

As the Validation Engineer - CONTRACTOR, you will:

Perform validation for telematics products by utilizing test benches and vehicles

Responsible for executing basic Sanity, customer found issues, updated specification from customer and Full test cases for assigned sections

Analyze test results to determine if product meet specifications

Create/maintain test cases per product specifications

Utilize tracking system to report and track product defects

Test bench setup / SW updates

Field Test / Joint field test with OEM

OEM Support (Flashing modules/configuring environment/support drive tests/other requests as needed)

Maintain relationships with overseas counterparts to effectively share information and resolve issues

Support to resolve technical issues

Support and communicate with R&D team, not only in North America but other regions such as Korea

Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or equivalent

Ability to travel up to 30% (domestic and international)

Knowledge of:

Test bench and vehicle setup

Telematics systems technologies

Specifications and ability to analyze test results

Process on how to create test cases with the appropriate test case structure

How to interface with the bug tracking system

Vehicle communication protocols

Ability to:

Learn and adapt to new software and hardware tools and technologies

Work across multiple disciplines (systems, embedded, server, wireless carriers, testing)

Recognize and mitigate both technical and organizational challenges

Sit and/or drive in a vehicle for testing up to 8 hours a day

Desire to learn constantly and dive into new areas with unfamiliar technologies

Strong commitment to quality and attention to detail

Excellent written and oral communication skills

Preferred:

Background in computer science
