Are you a recent Master’s graduate in Life Sciences with strong laboratory skills in fields such as Immunology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or Cell Biology? GenScript is looking for a researcher ready to take their first step into industry as a Technical Account Representative. In this role, you will become an integral part of our vibrant team, acting as the bridge between our customers and internal teams. You’ll work closely with our Sales team, Production, Project Management, Marketing, Logistics, Finance departments, engage in preliminary discussions with customers to understand customer projects in depth, and provide accurate, customized quotations and solutions that reflect their needs. This is a unique opportunity to combine your scientific expertise with customer-facing experience in a fast-growing biotech environment.

Job title: Technical Account Representative.

Location: Rijswijk, South Holland, The Netherlands.

Scheme: First 2 months onsite for training in Rijswijk, then hybrid: 3 days WFH / 2 days onsite.

Time: Full‑time (40 hours / week) Mon-Fri 9:00-17:30.

Contract Duration: Fixed term for 2 years.

What You'll Be Doing

Take full charge of the daily operation of the customer service function that handles all initial inquiries from customers, dealers, and the general public regarding order placement, complaints, technical support and etc.

Provide primary technical advice to customers with practical information and tools; identify and interpret customers’ requirements, shape these requirements to fit the business unit’s capabilities, and communicate these to customers.

Work closely with the business unit Sales Account Manager as a consultant to clients in technical matters and improve customer satisfaction.

Occasionally attends trade shows, technical shows and gives technical presentations to customers.

What We Expect From You

Master's degree in Cell biology, Immunology, Biochemistry, Molecular biology or relevant life science fields.

Extensive hands-on laboratory experience and proficiency in key molecular biology and biochemistry techniques, including (but not limited to) DNA cloning and plasmid preparation, PCR, protein expression (E. coli, HEK, CHO, insect, and cell-free systems), protein purification, Western blot, ELISA, flow cytometry, HPLC, as well as cell culture and animal studies.

Fluency, both verbal and written, in English. Fluent in French or German is a plus.

Strong attention to detail.

Good communication and presentation skills with technical content.

Customer-focused, proactive and action-oriented.

Previous industry experience in a similar role will be an advantage.
