The Systems Engineering team is seeking an experienced Electrical Systems Engineer to define, develop, and verify high-voltage and low-voltage system-level requirements for our EV platform. This role is responsible for defining requirements for HV components, LV networks, charging system integration, energy/thermal management trade-offs and ensuring safety and regulatory compliance across the electrical domain.

What you will do:

Develop and document HV and LV system architectures, technical specifications, and electrical power budgets in Harbinger’s requirement management system, Flow Engineering.

Write comprehensive requirements, fault-management strategies, and test plans for HV and LV subsystems.

Partner closely with Powertrain, Battery, Harness, Functional Safety, and Software teams to ensure electrical systems meet overall vehicle targets, thermal limits, and regulatory standards.

Define vehicle operational power modes and manage LV power consumption targets across all vehicle states.

Define logic and safety mechanisms for AC/DC fast charging protocols, vehicle state transitions during charging, and charging interface standards

Who you are:

Possess a Bachelor's degree or other relevant educational credential

5+ years of experience in systems engineering in the automotive field or similar, with a strong emphasis on Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) architectures and HV/LV systems.

Broad understanding of total BEV systems, including energy management, battery systems (BMS), electric drives, vehicle state machines, thermal loops, and charging systems.

Knowledge of industry standards and best practices related to requirements and testing of automotive systems.

Experience with software and vehicle communication protocols and requirements, diagnostic tools, and software-hardware integration.

Experience with hands-on vehicle and system testing and ISO 26262 Functional Safety.
