Position Summary:

IEM is currently seeking a Supply Chain Manager for our San Antonio, TX and will report into the VP of Supply Chain.

This role brings a strong emphasis on Lean Manufacturing to optimize and enhance our supply chain operations, with a focus on streamlining processes, improving efficiency, and driving cost reductions while ensuring timely delivery and high quality standards. The ideal candidate has extensive experience in supply chain management, project execution, and Lean methodologies in a manufacturing environment.

This position will be based temporarily in NE San Antonio while our new manufacturing plant is coming online. Our permanent location is approximately 25 minutes away at Brooks, 7515 Inner Circle Dr., San Antonio, 78235. The position is also 100% in-office and does not offer remote work.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage supply chain programs to ensure optimal efficiency, cost effectiveness, and quality performance

Lead the supply chain organization with responsibility for planning, scheduling, and capacity management processes, driving continuous improvement in production control, schedule adherence, and overall supply chain performance

Implement and promote Lean Manufacturing principles across supply chain processes to enhance workflow, reduce waste, and drive continuous improvement, including Kanban, flow optimization, and pull systems

Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including procurement, logistics, production, and engineering teams, to align supply chain strategies with business objectives

Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure reliability, performance, and cost control

Identify and mitigate supply chain risks, ensuring business continuity and resilience

Analyze supply chain data to identify trends, opportunities for improvement, and key performance indicators

Oversee demand planning, inventory management, and materials flow to maintain optimal stock levels and reduce excess inventory

Monitor long lead incoming materials to ensure alignment with current production schedules and anticipate foreseeable risks

Participate in value stream mapping to help improve the flow of material through the manufacturing process

Drive cross-functional initiatives to improve operational efficiency and enhance customer satisfaction

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business, engineering, or a related field, or 10+ years of relevant experience

5+ years of experience in supply chain management within a manufacturing environment

Experience in progressive materials management methods, incorporating point-of-use materials and visual material replenishment tactics

Strong expertise in Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies

Experience with ERP/MRP systems and data analytics tools, such as Infor, SAP, or Oracle

Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to make data-driven decisions

Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills

Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment

APICS and PMP certification is a plus
