Staff Software Engineer (Go, Java) - 3rd Party Integrations
As a Staff (tech-lead level) engineer you will work on Singularity Marketplace - multi-tenant, event-driven platform that enables third-party integration applications to safely deploy, execute, and stream data across our AI SIEM ecosystem. You'll help build the next version of the Marketplace Catalog - the front door for every third-party integration our customers discover, evaluate, and install. You'll have the opportunity to build products using cutting-edge AI-native development practices that accelerate velocity while maintaining enterprise security standards. You'll be re-thinking how partners publish and version their applications, how customers browse and trust what they find, and the APIs and services that make discovery fast and reliable at scale. You'll integrate AI throughout the development lifecycle - augmenting design, code generation, testing, and security practices to increase velocity while maintaining the highest standards of code quality and security.
What Will You Do?
Primary responsibilities include:
Design, build, test, document, deploy, and operate large-scale applications, primarily in Go and partially in Java.
Architect high-volume, low-latency services capable of processing millions of events per second.
Translate business and functional requirements into robust, scalable, operable solutions that work well within the overall data architecture.
Participate and collaborate with cross-functional teams in the organization to understand the business requirements and to deliver solutions that can scale.
Improve system reliability and data integrity through observability, performance analysis, capacity planning, and operational excellence.
Understand & maintain existing codebase by regular re-factoring and applying requested fixes and features.
Evaluate and adopt technologies that help solve challenges associated with scale, reliability, and large volumes of data.
Use AI-assisted engineering workflows thoughtfully to accelerate development without compromising quality or security.
Establish and promote engineering practices that improve code quality, security, testing, and delivery velocity.
Lead technical discussions and design reviews, provide high-quality code reviews, and mentor other engineers.
What Skills and Knowledge Will You Bring?
Ideal candidates will have:
Strong proficiency in at least one high-level programming language, preferably Go and/or Java, with the ability and interest to work across both.
Deep understanding of distributed systems, event-driven architectures, microservices, concurrency, and data processing.
Comfort with AI-native development practices - leveraging AI tools and workflows to enhance code quality, security, and development velocity.
You care about delivering customer value and want to hear directly from your customers on how to improve and evolve your applications.
A collaborative approach to development through design discussions, code reviews, and cross-functional partnership.
Familiarity with AWS and/or GCP, Kubernetes, Docker, Postgres, Redis, and Kafka (big advantage)
Ability to swiftly delve into new products and comprehend their inner workings
Proven capacity to collaborate effectively with both local and remote teams across various time zones
Excellent communication skills, as you'll regularly liaise with product and other engineering teams
A huge plus would be previous experience in developing security-related products
