Sr Software Test Engineer I
Role Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Engineer to support Quality Engineering teams in a disciplined Agile environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring software quality through manual and automated testing of API, web, and mobile applications, while collaborating closely with cross-functional engineering teams to drive product excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Provide support to Quality Engineering teams with a strong focus on quality, accuracy, and attention to detail in an Agile environment.
Research, analyze, and document testing findings and observations.
Influence engineering teams through clear communication of facts, best practices, policies, and testing standards.
Test complex API, web, and mobile-based applications integrated with database back-end systems.
Create, maintain, and execute automated test cases and test suites.
Review, diagnose, and track reported defects while ensuring overall system quality before customer releases.
Design, develop, maintain, and troubleshoot automated testing frameworks and continuous integration test pipelines.
Derive testing requirements throughout the software development lifecycle.
Reproduce, debug, isolate issues, and verify defect fixes.
Create and maintain testing artifacts including:
Test Plans
Test Cases
Test Procedures
Test Reports
Plan test schedules and testing strategies based on project scope and release timelines.
Review software documentation for technical accuracy, compliance, completeness, and risk mitigation.
Provide recommendations on software usability, performance, and functionality improvements.
Identify deviations from quality standards and recommend corrective actions.
Develop and define quality standards, methodologies, and release readiness criteria.
Conduct historical analysis of test results and quality metrics.
Collaborate with developers, product managers, and engineering stakeholders to diagnose issues and recommend solutions.

Experience with version control systems such as Git
Good understanding of databases and ability to validate backend data using SQL queries

Experience working with defect tracking and test management tools such as:

Programming Skills
Hands-on experience programming language:
Python
AI Tools experience is mandatory min

Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
Relevant experience in Software Quality Assurance and Test Automation.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work effectively in a collaborative Agile environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
Experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter or LoadRunner.
ISTQB or equivalent QA certification.
Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
Exposure to DevOps and CI/CD tools including Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps Pipelines.
