Sr. Sitecore Developer (XM Cloud/Sitecore AI)

About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Sitecore Developer – XM Cloud & SitecoreAI with strong hands-on experience building and delivering modern, cloud-native digital experiences within the Sitecore ecosystem. This role is specifically focused on Sitecore XM Cloud and SitecoreAI. The ideal candidate combines deep Sitecore development expertise with recent practical experience implementing XM Cloud solutions and working hands-on with SitecoreAI capabilities. You will contribute to the design, development, integration, and optimization of enterprise digital experience platforms while helping teams adopt modern Sitecore architecture, headless development patterns, composable DXP technologies, and AI-assisted engineering practices. This is a hands-on engineering position for someone comfortable working across Sitecore architecture, backend services, APIs, headless applications, cloud environments, integrations, and modern development workflows. Candidates whose experience is limited to legacy Sitecore XP/XM without practical XM Cloud or SitecoreAI exposure should not be considered a full match for this position.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, configure, and implement enterprise solutions using Sitecore XM Cloud and the modern Sitecore ecosystem.

Work hands-on with SitecoreAI, incorporating its capabilities into digital experience and development workflows where applicable.

Lead or significantly contribute to XM Cloud implementations, migrations, upgrades, and modernization initiatives.

Design scalable and maintainable headless and composable Sitecore architectures.

Develop and integrate Sitecore solutions with modern frontend applications using technologies such as Next.js, React, JavaScript, and TypeScript.

Implement Sitecore integrations using GraphQL, REST APIs, webhooks, and third-party services.

Work with Experience Edge, Sitecore APIs, content delivery services, and modern content architecture.

Configure and extend Sitecore content models, templates, components, rendering definitions, and content structures.

Support migration and modernization initiatives from traditional Sitecore XP/XM implementations toward XM Cloud and composable architectures.

Develop reusable components and services following Sitecore and software engineering best practices.

Collaborate with solution architects, frontend developers, QA engineers, DevOps engineers, product owners, and business stakeholders.

Participate in architectural discussions and provide recommendations regarding performance, scalability, security, maintainability, and Sitecore best practices.

Troubleshoot complex Sitecore issues across application, integration, content delivery, and cloud layers.

Implement and maintain automated build, deployment, and CI/CD pipelines supporting Sitecore development.

Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards, architectural guidelines, and engineering best practices.

Promote the adoption of AI-assisted development tools to improve engineering productivity, code quality, documentation, testing, and troubleshooting.

Stay current with the evolving Sitecore roadmap, including XM Cloud, SitecoreAI, composable DXP capabilities, headless development, and AI-powered functionality.

Mandatory Qualifications

Candidates must meet the following requirements:

Strong professional experience developing enterprise solutions within the Sitecore ecosystem.

Hands-on Sitecore XM Cloud implementation experience.

Hands-on SitecoreAI experience.

Recent practical exposure to XM Cloud and/or SitecoreAI, including candidates with 6+ months of recent hands-on experience.

Active or previously obtained XM Cloud certification or Sitecore AI certification, with the ability to demonstrate relevant XM Cloud expertise.

Strong understanding of XM Cloud architecture, development patterns, deployment models, and implementation practices.

Experience with modern headless/composable Sitecore architecture.

Strong development experience with C# and .NET/.NET Core within Sitecore environments.

Experience with modern frontend and headless technologies, ideally including Next.js and React.

Experience working with Sitecore APIs, GraphQL, REST APIs, webhooks, and third-party integrations.

Experience with modern source-control and development workflows using Git.

Experience working with CI/CD and cloud-based deployment processes.

Demonstrated adoption of AI-powered development tools and modern Sitecore technologies as part of day-to-day engineering workflows.

Strong troubleshooting, debugging, and problem-solving capabilities.

Ability to work effectively within distributed, cross-functional engineering teams.

Strong English communication skills and the ability to discuss technical decisions with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)

6+ years of professional Sitecore development experience.

Experience serving as a Senior Sitecore Developer, Sitecore Technical Lead, or Sitecore Solution Developer.

Experience delivering large-scale enterprise Sitecore implementations.

Previous experience migrating Sitecore XP/XM solutions to XM Cloud.

Experience with Sitecore Content Hub, CDP, Personalize, Search, or other Sitecore composable products.

Understanding of SaaS-based and composable DXP architecture.

Experience implementing personalization, experimentation, search, analytics, or AI-powered digital experiences.

Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

Additional Sitecore certifications are highly valued.

Experience supporting enterprise customers and globally distributed development teams.
