We are seeking an experienced Software Engineer – ServiceNow to design, develop, customize, and support enterprise-grade solutions on the ServiceNow platform. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise across ServiceNow development, platform customization, integrations, scripting, and solution implementation. This role requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, secure, and high-quality ServiceNow solutions across multiple modules

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, configure, customize, and implement scalable ServiceNow solutions based on business and technical requirements.

Perform hands-on development across ServiceNow platform components, including forms, lists, UI Pages, UI Policies, Client Scripts, Business Rules, Script Includes, Workflows, Flow Designer, Catalog Items, and Notifications.

Develop, maintain, and optimize server-side and client-side scripting using JavaScript, Glide API, GlideRecord, and other ServiceNow scripting frameworks.

Design and execute efficient data management activities, including data migration, transformation, validation, cleanup, reconciliation, and maintenance.

Query, retrieve, and manipulate platform data using scalable and efficient data access methods.

Perform unit testing, system testing, integration testing, and support user acceptance testing to ensure solution quality and reliability.

Provide production support, defect resolution, performance tuning, and continuous improvement for existing ServiceNow implementations.

Develop and maintain technical documentation, including technical designs, configuration guides, support documentation, and deployment procedures.

Participate in Agile ceremonies, including backlog refinement, sprint planning, estimation, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.

Create, refine, estimate, and execute user stories and technical tasks while ensuring timely delivery.

Ensure all development activities follow ServiceNow best practices, coding standards, security policies, governance guidelines, and platform architecture principles.

Stay current with new ServiceNow releases, platform capabilities, and industry best practices to continuously improve solutions and development practices.

Partner with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for platform optimization, process improvement, automation, and operational excellence.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in ServiceNow development and implementation.

Strong expertise in ServiceNow platform development, configuration, and customization.

Proficiency in JavaScript, Glide API, GlideRecord, Script Includes, Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Policies, Flow Designer, and other ServiceNow development technologies.

Strong understanding of ServiceNow platform architecture and application lifecycle.

Experience designing and developing REST and SOAP APIs and integrating ServiceNow with enterprise and third-party applications.

Hands-on experience with ServiceNow data management, scripting, and platform administration.

Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to resolve complex technical issues.

Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Ability to manage multiple priorities while working independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams.

Preferred Skills

Knowledge of ServiceNow platform governance, security best practices, and performance optimization.

Experience with enterprise integrations and API-driven architectures.

Familiarity with DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and source control tools.

Required

ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA)
