About the role

We’re looking for an experienced Technical Talent Acquisition Specialist to own hiring across our Engineering and Product teams. This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives on ownership and autonomy. You’ll work closely with hiring leaders to understand what their teams need, shape the right recruitment strategy and drive searches from initial brief through to accepted offer.

We’re looking for someone who operates as a genuine partner to the business, not an order taker. You’ll bring your own perspective, challenge assumptions where needed, use data and market insight to guide decisions, and keep adapting the approach until you get to the right outcome. You’ll recruit across areas including backend, frontend, QA, infrastructure, data and product, with a strong focus on specialist, senior and business-critical hiring.

What you’ll be doing

Own end-to-end recruitment across Engineering and Product, from role definition and sourcing strategy through assessment, offer and close

Build strong partnerships with hiring managers and act as a trusted adviser on hiring strategy and talent

Proactively source, engage and close high-quality technical talent

Own the recruitment strategy for your roles, adapting the approach when something isn’t working

Use market insight, funnel data and candidate feedback to identify challenges and recommend changes

Experiment with new sourcing approaches, processes and ways of working, measuring what works and sharing the learning

Lead role kick-offs and calibration, helping turn business needs into clear, realistic candidate profiles and effective assessment processes

Assess candidates through structured screening, strong hiring judgement and a clear understanding of technical and behavioural signals

Manage multiple hiring priorities autonomously and make sensible trade-offs based on business need

Run efficient interview processes while maintaining a high-quality candidate experience

Navigate offers, counter-offers and closing conversations confidently

Maintain accurate ATS data and provide clear updates on pipeline health, progress, risks and market trends

Continuously look for ways to improve hiring quality, process and outcomes

What you’ll bring

Strong experience owning full-cycle recruitment in-house, with substantial experience hiring technical talent

A strong track record of direct sourcing, closing candidates and owning recruitment strategy

Experience partnering closely with Engineering and/or Product teams

Strong ownership and personal agency, with the confidence to work autonomously and drive work forward

A proactive, problem-solving mindset — if something isn’t working, you investigate why, try a different approach and use evidence to inform the next move

A consultative approach to stakeholder management, with the confidence to advise, challenge and influence constructively

Strong hiring judgement and experience assessing candidates through structured processes

Enough technical literacy to engage credibly with technical candidates and hiring teams and quickly understand unfamiliar roles or technologies

A data-aware approach, using funnel performance, market insight and candidate feedback to improve hiring outcomes

Strong prioritisation skills and the ability to manage multiple searches and competing business needs

Excellent communication skills and fluency in English

What success looks like

You build credibility quickly with the teams you support and become a trusted partner in how they hire.

You create momentum without needing close direction, take accountability for outcomes and are comfortable changing course when the evidence tells you something isn’t working.

Most importantly, you enjoy being close to the work. You’re motivated by finding and closing great people, improving the way hiring gets done and growing your impact as the business evolves.
