BR Payments Ops Specialist

About the role

We are seeking a detail-oriented Payment Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will support and optimize payment operations across Latam, with a focus on transaction monitoring, operational efficiency, and payment performance. You will work closely with local third-party payment providers, internal stakeholders across operations and customer service, and customers to ensure seamless payment processes, issue resolution, and regulatory compliance.

What you'll be doing

Support end-to-end payment processes, including deposits, withdrawals, refunds, reconciliations, and customer queries

Collaborate with local payment providers and banks to ensure timely resolution of transaction-related issues

Monitor transactions in real time to detect, investigate, and escalate suspicious or fraudulent activity

Assist in analyzing customer payment behavior and trends to recommend improvements in payment flows and methods

Contribute to operational enhancements by documenting workflows, SOPs, and process improvements

Support the integration and testing of new payment technologies and solutions

Ensure all payment operations comply with relevant regulations and internal policies

Provide timely support during system downtimes or payment-related incidents to minimize customer impact

What you'll bring

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Risk Management, or related field (or equivalent work experience)

2–3 years of experience in payments, financial operations, or fintech/e-commerce environments

Fluency in English and Spanish

Solid understanding of payment systems, funds flows, and reconciliation processes

Experience with payment gateways, PSPs, or transaction monitoring tools is preferred

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven mindset

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively across teams and with external partners

Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt in a fast-paced, remote-first environment
