As a PMO, you will act as a strategic partner to the business, supporting the company’s project portfolio management and governance at an group level. You will coordinate cross-functional resources, steer complex project life cycles, and ensure strict alignment between projects and business objectives. This role requires clear leadership without authority, strong organizational skills, clear communication, and the ability to balance both detail-oriented execution and strategic thinking.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Portfolio Management & Resource Strategy

Lead and own end-to-end (full lifecycle) project management for multiple high-impact, group-level strategic initiatives, ensuring high-standard and on-time delivery.

Directly manage complex projects, define and manage priorities, and resolve critical path conflicts.

Monitor resource utilization (coordinate manpower, delivery timeline etc.)

Drive project initiation reviews, establish priority frameworks, and enforce rigorous schedule tracking methodologies.

Stakeholder Management & Communication

Coordinate across business, product, R&D, QA, and other teams to align on goals and deliverables.

Provide clear, structured reports to management on project status, issues, and recommendations.

Navigate project conflicts with both soft skills (consensus-building) and hard skills (decision enforcement).

Process Governance & Continuous Improvement

Establish, standardize, and scale organizational project management processes, methodology frameworks, and deliverable standards.

Lead periodic audits and health checks to ensure strict project compliance with organizational governance standards.

Drive continuous closed-loop optimization; track the effectiveness of implemented improvements across ongoing and new projects, shaping a culture of excellence..

Data-Driven Governance & Tooling

Design, implement, and maintain comprehensive KPI dashboards and metrics for group project governance.

Conduct data analysis and visualization to preemptively identify project bottlenecks, financial risks, and schedule variances.

Leverage, configure, and optimize project management toolchains to streamline task breakdown, automated tracking, and workflow efficiency.

Data Analysis & Metrics Development

Conduct data analysis and visualization to track project progress, and risks.

Support the design of KPI dashboards for project governance.

Strategic Awareness & Business Understanding

Develop in-depth understanding of the company’s industry and business.

Identify how projects impact business strategy and organizational outcomes.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree or above, preferably in computer science or related disciplines.

2-3 years of proven experience in PMO, Project/Program Management or similar.

Exceptional communication, coordination, and stakeholder management abilities.

Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Jira, Lark, Confluence) is preferred.

Demonstrated resilience and adaptability to thrive and lead in a dynamic, highly ambiguous environment with shifting priorities.

Bilingual proficiency in Chinese and English (both written and spoken) is required, with the ability to influence and negotiate across global, diverse teams.

This position is preferably based in Austria, Vienna
