We are seeking experienced candidates with experience in mortgage operations to perform quality control of our product outputs. This role requires deep underwriting expertise - including comprehensive knowledge of Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, FHA, VA, and USDA guidelines - to validate income calculations, underwriting conditions, and other loan-level outputs for accuracy and completeness..

The successful candidate will have hands-on experience interpreting and analyzing income, asset, credit, AUS, and collateral documentation, applying underwriting rules, performing income calculations and creating conditions. What you'll do:

Apply advanced knowledge of Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, FHA,VA, and USDA guidelines to rigorously QC mortgage applications.

Review borrower documentation (income, assets, credit, collateral, AUS findings) and confirm the correct data extraction and classification, and application of underwriting rules within the product, such as income calculator output.

Identify errors, omissions, inconsistencies, and guideline exceptions requiring correction or further review.

Make necessary updates to ensure accurate and complete results.

Meet established standards for accuracy, turnaround time, and productivity in a real-time production environment.

Identify recurring error patterns and share actionable feedback with UW team leadership.

Who we're looking for: (Skill Sets and Qualifications)

6+ years of mortgage underwriting experience, including FHA and VA.

Skilled in reviewing borrower documentation (e.g., W-2s, tax returns, pay stubs, self-employment income, appraisal, title, etc).

Strong expertise in income analysis, credit evaluation, and AUS findings.

Tech-savvy

Excellent documentation skills and detail orientation..

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with fintech or SaaS mortgage tools.

Familiarity with automated income calculation or verification platforms.
