We are currently seeking an ambitious and talented Senior Industrial Designer to join our team in Shenzhen, Guangdong Province, China. This role is uniquely positioned to work directly alongside our supplier and manufacturing partners in the Pearl River Delta, bridging world-class design with the region’s unmatched manufacturing ecosystem. You will collaborate closely with the global design team in Logan, Utah, and play a hands-on role in taking concepts from sketch to production.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

World-class understanding of form, function, visual composition, and conceptual integrity. Eye for clean, visually impactful designs that are current and fresh.

Exceptional ability to communicate design concepts through hand sketches, mock-ups, and models; from 3D prints to full appearance models to early prototypes.

Strong sensitivity to color, aesthetics, and materiality, and the ability to translate global trends into compelling consumer fitness products. Skilled at CMF (Color, Material, Finish).

Deep knowledge of Chinese manufacturing methods — including injection molding, extrusion, die casting, and surface finishing — used as a creative asset rather than a limitation. Significant experience in DFM (Design for Manufacturability) required. Regular supplier visits in the Shenzhen/Dongguan/Guangzhou corridor are expected.

Liaise directly with local suppliers and factories to review samples, resolve tooling issues, and ensure design intent is maintained through production.

Highly proficient in CAD (Rhino, Pro-E, SolidWorks) and visualization tools, expertly used to gain alignment with engineering and product stakeholders.

Highly proficient in a 3D rendering program (Keyshot or similar).

Work cross-functionally with global Brand and Marketing to continuously develop understanding of the end-to-end iFIT customer journey, creating products that represent and strengthen the brand.

Design prototypes to rapidly assess the viability of ideas and potential directions. Work closely with UX to define product experiences and prototype them for discovery and definition purposes.

Translate insights from research and analytics into concepts, components, products, and solutions that drive the business forward and empower customers.

Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with product managers, engineers, and other global stakeholders to align design solutions with business goals and technical feasibility. Maintain design integrity throughout the development process. Communicate design concepts effectively, gather feedback, and iterate based on insights.

Seek out feedback from stakeholders to drive consensus and derive the optimal outcome given constraints and priorities.

User Research and Analysis: Participate in user research, including interviews, surveys, and usability testing, to understand user behaviors, needs, and pain points. Use insights to inform design decisions.

Advocate for the importance of design choices and best practices within the broader team. Communicate the rationale behind visual decisions and help others understand the impact on user experience.

Stay Updated: Keep current on global and regional industry trends, best practices, CMF, and emerging technologies in industrial design. Apply this knowledge to enhance designs and processes.
