West Monroe is seeking a Senior Consultant to join our Productivity discipline within our Organization, People & Change Practice. We partner with clients to solve complex operational challenges through process optimization, workforce productivity, and operational excellence. By combining data-driven insights with technology—including AI—we help organizations redesign how work gets done and deliver measurable business outcomes.

Unlike traditional process improvement roles, our consultants work across industries to solve complex business problems, helping clients improve operational performance, optimize resources, and implement sustainable improvements that create lasting business value. Senior Consultants lead workstreams, mentor junior team members, and deliver practical, measurable solutions for clients.

What You’ll Do

Lead operational assessments and develop client recommendations

Lead current-state assessments to identify opportunities across business processes, workforce productivity, operating models, and performance management.

Translate complex business challenges into structured analyses and actionable recommendations.

Develop business cases that quantify productivity improvements, capacity gains, and financial impact.

Facilitate client workshops and present findings to stakeholders.

Drive process and workforce optimization

Design future-state processes that improve throughput, reduce cost, and enhance quality.

Analyze workforce capacity, labor utilization, operating models, and performance metrics.

Develop implementation roadmaps and help clients prioritize initiatives.

Lead project workstreams by managing risks, ensuring quality, and driving successful delivery.

Deliver AI-enabled productivity solutions

Identify opportunities to apply AI, automation, and digital capabilities across business processes and workflows.

Partner with technical teams to translate business requirements into scalable solutions.

Leverage AI tools to accelerate analysis, synthesize complex information, and support data-driven recommendations for clients, exercising sound judgment in evaluating outputs.

Apply AI technologies (e.g., generative AI, automation tools, data models) to enhance insights, improve delivery efficiency, and elevate the quality of client outcomes.

Deliver client value and contribute to practice growth

Deliver high-quality analyses, presentations, and implementation materials.

Mentor Consultants and Experienced Consultants through coaching, guidance, and quality review.

Support business development through client research, proposal development, and pursuit activities.

Contribute to the growth of West Monroe’s Productivity discipline through methodologies, reusable assets, and knowledge sharing.

What You’ll Bring

4–6 years of experience, with management consulting experience highly preferred. Experience in professional services, operations, industrial engineering, business transformation, or a similarly analytical environment is also valued.

Experience leading workstreams focused on process optimization, workforce productivity, operational excellence, labor analytics, operating model transformation, or service delivery improvement.

Demonstrated ability to break down ambiguous business problems into structured analyses and data-driven recommendations.

Experience developing productivity, capacity, labor, cost, operational performance, and ROI analyses.

Experience facilitating client workshops and presenting recommendations to technical and executive audiences.

Exposure to AI, automation, workflow technologies, or advanced analytics applied to business processes and operational improvement.

Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, Value Stream Mapping, or other continuous improvement methodologies is preferred.

Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills with the ability to lead workstreams and collaborate across client and project teams.

Experience integrating AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT) into day-to-day workflows to enhance productivity and insight generation, coupled with strong critical thinking to assess accuracy, mitigate bias, and ensure high-quality outputs.

Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, operations, analytics, industrial engineering, organizational development, or a related field.

Ability to travel up to 50%.

Based on pay transparency guidelines, the salary range for this role can vary based on your proximity to one of our West Monroe offices (see table below). Individual salaries are determined by evaluating a variety of factors including geography, experience, skills, education, and internal equity.

Employees will also receive unlimited flexible time off and ten paid holidays throughout the calendar year. Eligibility for ten weeks of paid parental leave will also be available upon hire date.
