West Monroe is seeking a Senior Manager to join our Consumer & Industrial Products (C&IP) Value Creation team within our Mergers & Acquisitions Practice. As a leader within our Transaction Advisory Services (TAS) capability, a core offering of our C&IP Value Creation team, you will advise private equity investors and their portfolio companies through critical investment opportunities and decisions by leading operational, technology, and IT transaction advisory engagements.

While transaction diligence is at the core of the role, you’ll also collaborate across our broader Value Creation platform to help clients translate diligence insights into actionable post-close priorities. This is an opportunity to lead high-impact transactions, advise executive stakeholders, influence investment decisions, and help grow one of West Monroe’s leading private equity advisory capabilities.

What You Will Do

Client Delivery

Lead operational, technology, and IT transaction advisory engagements for private equity investors and their portfolio companies, serving as the engagement leader across multiple concurrent transactions.

Advise clients throughout buy-side transactions by assessing technology capabilities, operational maturity, organizational readiness, and business risks that influence investment decisions. Support sell-side and strategic corporate transactions where applicable.

Evaluate operating models, technology investments, digital capabilities, and organizational structures to identify operational risks and opportunities for value creation.

Translate diligence findings into actionable recommendations that strengthen investment theses, prioritize value creation opportunities, and inform post-close planning.

Partner with portfolio company leadership and cross-functional West Monroe teams to support targeted value creation initiatives and post-close engagements that build upon diligence findings.

Lead executive-level client discussions, facilitate management meetings, and present findings to investment teams, operating partners, and senior client stakeholders.

Own engagement scope, staffing, economics, quality, risk management, and delivery across multiple workstreams while coaching and developing high-performing consulting teams.

Drive the continued evolution of West Monroe’s Transaction Advisory Services methodologies, tools, and approaches to deliver differentiated value for clients.

Leverage AI tools to accelerate analysis, synthesize complex information, and support data-driven recommendations for clients, exercising sound judgment in evaluating outputs.

Apply AI technologies (e.g., generative AI, automation tools, data models) to enhance insights, improve delivery efficiency, and elevate the quality of client outcomes.

Business Development

Develop trusted relationships with private equity investors, operating partners, and portfolio company executives while serving as a strategic advisor throughout the investment lifecycle.

Identify opportunities to expand client relationships across Transaction Advisory Services and the broader C&IP Value Creation platform.

Lead business development efforts including opportunity shaping, solution design, scoping, pricing, proposal development, and client presentations.

Contribute to industry perspectives, thought leadership, and market-facing activities that strengthen West Monroe’s position within the private equity and M&A marketplace.

Practice Development

Advance Transaction Advisory Services methodologies, delivery approaches, and reusable assets that improve client outcomes and delivery consistency.

Mentor consultants and managers through coaching, Career Advisor responsibilities, and performance feedback while fostering a collaborative, high-performing team culture.

Partner across West Monroe’s M&A Practice and C&IP Value Creation team to strengthen integrated client delivery and enhance cross-functional collaboration.

Support recruiting, onboarding, knowledge sharing, and the continued growth of the Transaction Advisory Services capability.

What You Will Bring

8+ years of management consulting, transaction advisory, operational consulting, technology consulting, or related experience supporting mergers and acquisitions.

Demonstrated experience leading operational, technology, or IT due diligence engagements for private equity investors and portfolio companies.

Experience assessing technology environments, operating models, organizational capabilities, and operational risks to support investment decisions and uncover value creation opportunities.

Proven ability to lead multiple engagement workstreams while managing client relationships, engagement economics, quality, and delivery.

Executive presence with experience presenting complex operational and technology findings to C-suite executives, investment professionals, operating partners, and portfolio company leadership.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to synthesize complex information into clear, actionable recommendations.

Experience working across the transaction lifecycle with an understanding of how diligence insights inform post-close value creation initiatives.

Experience integrating AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT) into day-to-day workflows to enhance productivity and insight generation, coupled with strong critical thinking to assess accuracy, mitigate bias, and ensure high-quality outputs.
