We are looking for an ambitious Senior Accountant to strengthen our finance team. This role is ideal for a professional coming from a Big 4 audit or advisory background who is ready to move into industry and take ownership of core accounting processes — with a clear runway to grow into broader finance, controlling, and business analysis responsibilities as the group expands.

What the role involves

General Ledger Ownership — Manage and control the general ledger for one or more entities, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and audit-ready documentation.

Month-End & Year-End Close — Independently drive month-end closing tasks (accruals, provisions, depreciation, cut-off) and support a fast, reliable close calendar.

Consolidation & Group Reporting — Prepare consolidation inputs, intercompany reconciliations, and group reporting packages; contribute to the alignment between BE-GAAP statutory accounts and group (IFRS) reporting.

Audit & Compliance — Act as a key contact for external auditors, leveraging your audit background to prepare files, anticipate questions, and strengthen internal controls.

Analysis & Business Partnering — Support variance analysis, margin and cost reviews, and ad-hoc financial analysis for management.

Process Improvement & AI-Enabled Finance — Help automate and streamline accounting workflows using modern tools, and contribute to the digital transformation of the finance function.

What we are looking for

Education: Master's degree in Accountancy, (Applied) Economics, Commercial Engineering, or a related field.

Experience: Approximately 4–6 years of professional experience, ideally including several years in a Big 4 audit practice, with exposure to statutory audits, group reporting, and complex accounting matters.

Technical expertise: Strong command of BE-GAAP and solid working knowledge of IFRS; hands-on experience with consolidation, intercompany eliminations, and group reporting packages; familiarity with audit methodology, internal controls, and documentation standards.

Tools: Advanced Excel / Google Sheets skills (pivot tables, lookups, data modelling).

Languages: Advanced proficiency in English; professional knowledge of Dutch is highly preferred for the Belgian market.

Soft skills: A rigorous, hands-on professional who communicates clearly with both finance and non-finance stakeholders, and enjoys coaching junior colleagues.

Mindset: Analytical and business-curious — someone who wants to understand the numbers behind the business, not just book them, with a strong sense of ownership, respect for deadlines, and ambition to grow towards controlling, FP&A, or business analysis roles.

Nice to have

A complementary certification (ITAA, ACCA, or equivalent).

Experience with Business Central or a comparable ERP, and with consolidation or BI tools.

Proficiency and strong interest in AI.

Working knowledge of French.

Your growth path

This role is designed as a springboard. Depending on ambition and performance, natural next steps within the group include Financial Controller, FP&A / Business Analyst, or Finance Manager roles — supported by exposure to strategic projects, budgeting cycles, and the wider Super Technologies group.

What we offer

Medical / Health Insurance

Open Annual Leave

Employee Assistance Program

Training & Learning Development

Real ownership and impact from day one in a scale-up environment backed by an international group

Access to the latest accounting and AI-powered finance technologies and tools

A competitive salary package with extra-legal benefits common in the Belgian market, including options for a company car or a mobility budget

Flexible working hours and hybrid working to support a healthy work-life balance

Additional benefits vary by country and will be shared during the hiring process.
