Senior Accountant - Lease
What You'll Do:
The Leasing Team sits within CoreWeave's Corporate Accounting organization and is responsible for the end-to-end accounting of CoreWeave's growing lease portfolio. Our team partners closely with Legal, FP&A, Operations, and Treasury to evaluate complex contracts, identify embedded leases in Network Service Agreements, and ensure proper accounting treatment under US GAAP. As CoreWeave scales its global infrastructure footprint at an extraordinary pace, this team is central to maintaining accounting integrity and building the scalable processes and controls our business demands.
About the role:
As a Senior Accountant on the Leasing Team, you will own the day-to-day operational accounting for CoreWeave's lease portfolio. Your work will span journal entry preparation, account reconciliations, and period-end close activities, and will also support contract reviews to identify embedded leases under ASC 842. This role sits at the intersection of technical accounting and operational execution, offering significant exposure to complex transactions in an environment where accuracy, ownership, and efficiency are equally valued.
Prepare and post journal entries for lease-related transactions, including right-of-use asset amortization, lease liability accretion, variable lease expense, and related accruals
Perform month-end account reconciliations for the lease portfolio and support timely close of lease-related accounts
Maintain and update lease accounting schedules; ensure accuracy across initial recognition, remeasurement, and modification events
Assist in the review of Network Service Agreements and other contracts for indicators of embedded leases under ASC 842
Prepare P&L and balance sheet analytics for lease-related accounts, including variance analysis and explanations for management reporting
Collaborate with FP&A, Legal, and Operations teams on new lease assessments, modifications, and contract amendments
Prepare documentation and schedules to support external audit requests related to the lease portfolio
Contribute to process improvement initiatives that increase efficiency and scalability of lease accounting operations
Who You Are:
3–5+ years of accounting experience, with a preference for experience in lease accounting, technical accounting, or real estate/infrastructure industries
Working knowledge of ASC 842 and its application to operational lease transactions
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or actively pursuing CPA preferred
Strong Excel skills and experience working within ERP systems
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities during month-end close
Collaborative communicator who works effectively across Legal, FP&A, and Operations to support timely resolution of accounting questions
Preferred:
Experience with lease accounting software (e.g., CoStar, NetSuite, or similar tools)
Public accounting background
Experience in a high-growth technology, cloud infrastructure, or data center company
