Scientist 1 - Staff Scientist

Apex Companies is looking for a Staff Scientist to join our team in either Austin, Houston, San Antonio, Dallas, or Corpus Christi, Texas.  This is a remote position but must be located in one of the cities listed.

Your Responsibilities as a Scientist 1 - Staff Scientist:

Collect soil, water, air, and/or building material samples.

Gather, analyze, and interpret data.

Input data into template reports.

Stormwater Inspections.

What we're looking for:

Bachelor Degree in Biology, Environmental Science, or other related field.

1-2+ years of experience with environmental field sampling and data collection.

Strong technical writing skills, the ability to successfully multi-task, safety awareness, and a good record and understanding of safe work practices.

Experience with data management and report preparation.

Valid driver's license, good driving history, and reliable transportation are required.

Strong communication skills

Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.

Familiarity with avian surveys and GIS preferred

40-hour HAZWOPER certification preferred.
