Keeper Security is hiring an experienced Sales Engineer, MSP to work with our Managed Service Provider sales team. This is a 100% remote position from select locations, with an opportunity to work a hybrid schedule for candidates based in the Chicago, IL metro area.
MSPs and MSSPs face growing pressure to deliver identity security and privileged access management as a managed service, while keeping operations simple, margins healthy, and customers compliant. About the Role
As a Sales Engineer, MSP, you will own the technical relationship with Keeper's MSP and MSSP partners through the full pre-sales and post-sales cycle. You will evaluate partner environments, map Keeper's solutions to their service offerings and customer requirements, and win deals by demonstrating how Keeper deploys and scales across multi-tenant environments. You will also enable partner sales and technical teams to position and sell Keeper independently, making you a force multiplier across the partner's entire book of business.
Responsibilities
Own the technical pre-sales process for MSP and MSSP opportunities, from discovery through proof-of-concept to close
Conduct technical discovery to understand partner service offerings, RMM/PSA stack, customer mix, compliance requirements, and security service gaps
Build and deliver tailored demos of Keeper's MSP console, KeeperPAM, and key integrations for both partner technical teams and their end-customer audiences
Address technical questions, objections, and competitive comparisons (e.g., N-able, Barracuda MSP, Acronis Cyber Protect, Dashlane Business) with confidence
Support product trials, proof-of-concept engagements, and onboarding through technical close
Serve as the internal subject matter expert on MSP business models, managed security service delivery, and the partner technical landscape
Advise on RMM, PSA, and security stack integrations relevant to partner environments
Relay partner feedback, integration gaps, and market insights to product and engineering teams
Stay informed about industry trends, the competitive landscape, MSP business models, and emerging cybersecurity technologies
Participate as part of the MSP sales team to achieve or exceed partner recruitment, pipeline, and revenue goals
Contribute to company objectives in creative, collaborative, and effective ways
Travel to partner and customer meetings locally and nationally, including renting or operating a vehicle on behalf of the company when necessary (up to 50%)
Requirements
5+ years of experience in a pre-sales technical role (Sales Engineer, Systems Engineer, Solutions Engineer, etc.)
Direct experience working with or inside a Managed Service Provider or Managed Security Service Provider
Strong understanding of the MSP business model, including recurring services, partner enablement, customer onboarding, and scalable solution delivery
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a strong entrepreneurial drive
Strong experience with Windows/Active Directory administration and knowledge of UNIX/Linux
Outstanding presentation skills and the ability to build and demonstrate a high quality product overview to both technical and executive level audiences
Technical background in networking and security applications as well as cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP)
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field or equivalent work experience
Willingness to travel up to 50%
Preferred Requirements
Industry certifications: CompTIA Security+, Microsoft SC-900/AZ-900, or vendor-specific MSP/security certifications
Experience with Privileged Access Management and/or Identity Security.
Scripting experience (PowerShell, Python, or Bash) for integration and automation use cases
Experience with Keeper Security products or competitive platforms (e.g., N-able Passportal, ITGlue/MyGlue, Acronis
Familiarity with compliance frameworks relevant to MSP customers: SOC 2, HIPAA, CMMC, or CIS Controls
Experience providing solutions to and understanding the requirements of Enterprise Customers
Prior experience with cybersecurity solutions or relevant experience with IAM or other security SAAS solutions
