About the Role:

Are you a relentless prospector with a knack for opening doors and sparking meaningful conversations? Maven is seeking a highly driven Sales Development Representative (SDR) to fuel our Growth team's pipeline within our most strategically important accounts. This isn't about qualifying leads; it's about actively hunting for new business in a focused, high-value territory, evangelizing Maven's mission, and directly impacting our ambitious growth targets.

What You’ll Do:

Own Your Territory: Proactively identify and engage with new logo accounts in your assigned territory through strategic cold calling, personalized email sequences, targeted social selling, and pathways through direct-to-employer, consultants, health plans, and ecosystem partners. If your territory includes international contacts within a buying group, outreach extends to them too.

Command the Conversation: Master the art of the initial outreach. Engage prospects with insightful, value-driven conversations that uncover their critical needs and position Maven as the indispensable solution for women's and family health benefits.

Multithread and Progressing Open Opportunities: Go beyond the first meeting — multithread within target accounts and help progress opportunities through the deal cycle, working closely with the assigned seller.

Catalyst for Opportunity Creation: Work hand-in-hand with Account Executives, Payer AEs, and Consultants to seamlessly transition highly qualified prospects into active sales opportunities.

Run the Account Cadence: Own a recurring meeting and Slack channel for your territory, sharing account intelligence and recommended next actions with reps, growth execs, and the consultant growth team so outreach stays coordinated.

Strategic Data Management: Meticulously track and manage all outbound activities and prospect interactions within Salesforce. Your data integrity ensures a clear view of our pipeline and enables strategic decision-making.

Become an Industry Authority: Continuously deepen your expertise in Maven's innovative solutions and the evolving healthcare landscape. Leverage this knowledge to craft compelling narratives and secure executive-level meetings.

Exceed Targets: Consistently hit and surpass daily, weekly, and monthly lead generation and qualification targets, driving the overall success of our business.

Road Ready: Travel (~20%) as needed to support conferences and other prospecting events, expanding our reach and identifying new avenues for growth.

What You’ll Bring:

A Bachelor's degree and/or 2+ years of highly successful outbound sales development or lead generation experience, preferably within SaaS or B2B, with a proven track record of exceeding quotas.

Exceptional communication skills: Your ability to craft persuasive emails and conduct compelling phone conversations is paramount.

A true self-starter with an unwavering, results-driven mindset: You thrive on autonomy and possess a strong ability to manage your time and prioritize tasks to maximize outbound impact.

Proficiency with Salesforce and other CRM tools to meticulously track your pipeline and performance.

Expertise in leveraging sales tools and software, including Microsoft and Google office suite, Salesforce, Zoominfo, and SalesLoft, to optimize your outbound efforts.

The resilience and adaptability to not only thrive but excel in a fast-paced, high-growth environment, consistently hitting ambitious sales targets.

A genuine passion for Maven's mission – your belief in women's and family health innovation will resonate authentically with prospects.

Helpful experiences and backgrounds:

A burning desire to learn and grow within a dynamic environment.

A collaborative spirit with an interest in a team-based selling environment, contributing market insights to product development.

Experience navigating and excelling in a cross-functional, rapidly evolving landscape.

The base salary range for this role is $70,000 - $90,000 per year. You will also be entitled to receive equity and benefits. Individual pay decisions are based on a number of factors, including qualifications for the role, experience level, and skillset.

This role requires active work authorization in the US.
