About the Role

Alpaca is looking for a highly organized, proactive, and analytical Sales Analyst to support and increase the effectiveness of our growing sales organization.

This person will work closely with Sales leadership and Account Executives across the sales cycle, helping the team stay prepared, organized, and focused on customers. The role will support account strategy, customer meetings, sales materials, commercial analysis, deal execution, internal coordination, onboarding, and broader enablement initiatives.

The role is designed to be a force multiplier for the sales team. Helping reduce administrative and research burden, improving the quality and speed of customer preparation, and building repeatable systems, tools, and workflows that allow Account Executives to spend more time with customers and closing deals.

The ideal candidate is someone who is detail-oriented, commercially minded, comfortable managing multiple priorities, and naturally looks for ways to make the team around them more effective through better processes, data, tools, and automation.

Responsibilities

Support Account Executives with customer research, meeting preparation, presentations, materials, and follow-up.

Prepare account briefs and background materials for strategic customer and executive meetings.

Prepare and coordinate customer proposals, pricing materials, business cases, presentations, and other deal-related documentation.

Coordinate internal stakeholders and deliverables required to move opportunities forward.

Track key customer follow-ups, action items, and internal commitments and help ensure they are driven through completion..

Maintain and organize sales collateral, presentations, product materials, FAQs, competitive information, and other internal resources.

Partner with Product, Marketing, Legal, Compliance, and other teams to ensure sales materials remain accurate and up to date.

Assist in the development of sales playbooks, best practices, templates, and other resources used by the broader team.

Support new-hire onboarding, product education, and ongoing sales training.

Assist with the preparation of sales meetings, account reviews, leadership discussions, and other team initiatives.

\Partner with Sales leadership to track key priorities, strategic opportunities, and cross-functional initiatives through completion.

Identify opportunities to improve how information, materials, and resources are shared across the sales team.

Support special projects and other initiatives across the Sales organization as needed.

Act as a force multiplier for Sales by identifying recurring work that can be standardized, automated, delegated, or eliminated.

AI Fluency and GTM Systems

This role is expected to increase the effectiveness of the broader sales team, not simply to complete individual tasks. Modern sales support depends heavily on AI, and we are looking for someone who uses agentic tools such as Cursor agents, Claude, and ChatGPT as a regular part of their workflow, and who is comfortable both using these tools and building with them. Much of the work described above, including account briefs, pre-call research, competitive summaries, and follow-up tracking, can be partially or fully automated. The ideal candidate will recognize recurring manual work, turn it into a repeatable agent workflow or automation, and make it available to the rest of the team. The expectation is not simply that this person uses AI effectively themselves, but that they turn successful workflows into repeatable tools and processes that can be adopted across the Sales organization.

We are also looking for practical fluency with the modern go-to-market stack. This includes familiarity with CRM and data enrichment tools such as HubSpot, Clay, and Apollo, including building enrichment workflows, maintaining data quality, and turning a broad market into a screened, prioritized, and contactable target list. It also includes analytical depth beyond spreadsheets, such as comfort working with pipeline data, SQL or BI tools, and metrics like conversion rates, pipeline coverage, and funnel performance. Finally, it includes an understanding of the buying signals that inform both who we contact and when, including funding events, hiring trends, regulatory changes, product launches, and competitive activity. Because Alpaca operates in a regulated industry, sound judgment is essential: this person should know when to rely on AI-generated output, when to verify it, and what information should not be shared with external tools.

Build and maintain repeatable GTM workflows across CRM, AI tools, internal data sources, and document successful workflows so they can be consistently adopted by the broader Sales team.

Qualifications

2–4 years of experience in sales enablement, sales support, business operations, account management, consulting, financial services, or a related role.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-moving environment.

Strong PowerPoint/Google Slides and Excel/Google Sheets skills.

Ability to take complex or incomplete information and turn it into clear, polished materials.

Comfortable working directly with Account Executives, Sales leadership, and senior executives.

Strong judgment and discretion when handling customer and commercial information.

Proactive and able to anticipate needs without requiring significant direction.

Comfortable taking ownership of projects and driving them through completion.

Preferred Experience

Experience supporting an enterprise or B2B sales organization.

Experience in fintech, financial services, brokerage, SaaS, or another technically complex industry.

Experience creating customer presentations, proposals, account briefs, or sales enablement materials.

Ability to learn technical products and translate them into clear, commercially relevant information.

Experience supporting complex sales cycles involving multiple internal and external stakeholders.

What Success Looks Like

Success in this role means helping create a sales organization where Account Executives are well prepared for customer conversations, materials are accurate and easy to find, important follow-ups stay on track, and strategic opportunities receive the coordination and support they need.

Over time, this person should increase the capacity of the sales organization by reducing repetitive work, improving sales processes, and turning successful ways of working into useful tools, automation, and enablement resources.

The ultimate measure of success is simple. The Account Executive spends more time with customers and closing business, while the broader Sales organization becomes more consistent and scalable.
