Product Operations Manager
About the Role
We are seeking a detail-minded, execution-focused Product Operations Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be embedded at Monks, serving as a critical operational partner dedicated to supporting one of our most high-profile enterprise client accounts.
Working directly alongside Program Leads and Product Managers, you will bridge the gap between strategy and execution—translating high-level program priorities into tightly tracked release schedules, coordinating global stakeholders, driving UAT follow-through, and managing day-to-day product operations workstreams.
Note on Location & Structure: This is a contract role based out of Austin, TX or Cupertino, CA, with a hybrid schedule requiring you to be on-site 3 days per week (with occasional travel as needed).
About You
The Skills & Toolkit You’ll Bring:
5+ years of experience in product operations, program coordination, technical support, or execution-focused roles within a technology or reporting environment.
Operational & Tracking Expertise: Deep comfort using enterprise issue and ticket tracking systems (e.g., Jira) to manage high-volume, detail-sensitive deployment items and operational requests with precision.
Global & Cross-Functional Alignment: Demonstrated capability coordinating across multi-region stakeholders, distributed teams, and distinct time zones to drive follow-through without direct formal authority.
Release & Process Knowledge: Direct experience or strong familiarity with localization workflows, release/deployment tracking, and UAT execution support.
Data & Dashboard Literacy: Basic data/dashboard literacy with the ability to maintain or lightly build simpler reporting views (experience with SQL and/or Python is a strong plus).
The Mindset We’re Looking For:
Detail-Obsessed & Reliable: You naturally keep high-volume, concurrent work streams organized, ensuring no tracking item, request, or handoff drops through the cracks.
Proactive Risk Flagging: You spot delays, bottlenecks, or blockers early and escalate thoughtfully, giving strategic product leads the bandwidth to focus on governance and vision.
Concise Communicator: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to distill multi-regional status updates into clear, actionable progress reports for leadership.
Autonomous Execution: You thrive in structured environments, working seamlessly with minimal supervision while respecting scope and governance frameworks.
The Day-to-Day (Your Impact)
Program Execution & Global Coordination
Connect the Geos: Act as the central coordination hub to collate regional feedback on enhancements and deployment scope, feeding directly into build planning cycles.
Drive Deployment & UAT: Translate geo deployment requirements into trackable release items, align localization sign-offs, drive UAT partner scoping, and track verification scripts through to completion.
Own the Baseline: Take direct ownership of Run-the-Business (RTB) activities for lower-complexity views and dashboards, ensuring cross-program continuity while freeing senior resources for strategic builds.
Surface & Mitigate Risk: Maintain clear status visibility and proactively surface blockers across deployment, localization, and ticketing workstreams before they impact release timelines.
Product Operations & Workflow Support
Streamline Support Triage: Perform initial intake and routing of first-line support queries within dedicated support frameworks, ensuring proper categorization prior to escalation.
Monitor Ticket Lifecycles: Track open operational tickets across frameworks, maintaining high visibility on progress and flagging delays to appropriate program leads.
Eliminate Bottlenecks: Execute high-volume access requests and onboarding tasks accurately and promptly to keep cross-functional partners moving smoothly.
