Position Overview

BGBx builds AI-powered solutions that help life science companies forecast, plan, and engage the people who matter to their brands. We are hiring a Product Manager, AI Solutions to own what those solutions become next.

You will define what we build, in what order, and why. You will work with client teams to find real needs, turn them into clear requirements, and test them with clients before they reach the roadmap. You will work daily with our engineers, data scientists, and client solutions teams, and you will work with clients in discovery, demos, and validation. This is a hands-on role. A big part of it is productization, turning a solution built for one client into one we can configure for the next.

This role sits on the AI technology team and reports to the SVP, AI Capabilities and Products.

You do not need to be an engineer. You do need to understand AI and data products well enough to judge what is feasible, challenge an estimate, and write requirements engineers can build from.

Key Responsibilities

Set up how we build product here. Put a PRD standard in place, run sign-off before anything gets built and acceptance before release, and coach business owners to contribute requirements. This covers in-house and partner builds.

Own the roadmap for our AI solutions. Recommend priorities and tradeoffs through our AI governance process, and explain the reasoning to leadership, engineering, and client teams.

Write clear requirements and acceptance criteria with business owners, who sign off on what gets built and the bar it has to clear. Validate them with clients, engineers, and data science before work begins and again before release.

Lead product discovery with clients. Run discovery conversations, find the underlying business question, and test whether our solutions fit it.

Track what clients ask for across pitches and engagements. Spot repeat needs and make the case for turning them into reusable product capabilities.

Support scoping and estimates for client engagements. Work with the client team and the technical team to judge feasibility based on what our products can do today.

Lead productization. Turn solutions built for one client into products we can configure for the next. Work alongside client teams and engineers to define requirements for client-specific configuration and validate the result with the client. Decide when a client need calls for a custom build and when it belongs on the roadmap.

Prototype and demo. Use AI-assisted tools to build light prototypes and tailored demos that make an idea concrete for a client or an internal team.

Explain how our models and methods work in plain language. Bring in data science and behavioral science experts when the method sets us apart.

Work within our data, privacy, and AI governance standards, and document decisions so engineering can support, extend, or retire what ships.

Qualifications

8+ years in product management, including at least one product or feature taken from discovery through launch. Software, data, or AI products preferred.

Experience writing requirements, setting priorities, and managing a roadmap with input from engineering and business stakeholders.

Working knowledge of how AI and data products are built. You understand APIs, data pipelines, and large language model applications well enough to judge feasibility and challenge estimates.

Comfort running discovery conversations with clients and presenting to senior stakeholders in plain language.

Familiarity with AI-assisted prototyping tools, and willingness to use them to build light demos.

Clear written communication.

Bachelor's degree required.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in pharmaceutical, life sciences, medical communications, or another regulated industry, especially commercial, medical, or market access work.

Familiarity with healthcare data such as claims, prescription, or healthcare professional data, and the privacy and compliance rules that come with it.

Exposure to forecasting, scenario planning, or analytics products.

Experience in a consulting or agency environment where work is scoped and billed to clients.

Experience with a modular product, where client needs map to different parts of a broad menu.

Salary range: $200,000 - $250,000
