HUB Level: 7 (Principal)
Career Track: Craft Track
Role Summary
Our mission at HubSpot is to help millions of organizations grow better.
HubSpot's pricing and monetization strategy is evolving to support hybrid business models that combine usage-based credits, AI consumption, seat-based packaging, and enterprise pricing. As the Principal Technical Program Manager, Pricing & Monetization, you will lead the technical programs that make this transformation possible. You'll connect pricing strategy, technical implementation, and compliance to ensure that monetization decisions are executable, scalable, and aligned with HubSpot's long-term revenue strategy. Working across Pricing Strategy, Fintech Engineering, Finance, Product, and Go-to-Market teams, you'll influence executive decision-making while driving complex, multi-year programs that shape the future of HubSpot's monetization platform.
What You'll Do
Lead the portfolio strategy and execution for HubSpot's hybrid monetization platform, including contracts, usage metering, billing, invoicing, and related systems.
Partner with Fintech Engineering leadership to define program priorities, align technical roadmaps with pricing strategy, and drive execution across Metronome, UBB metering, and billing infrastructure.
Ensure pricing initiatives are planned, sequenced, and implemented with appropriate SOX controls, audit readiness, and revenue recognition requirements.
Lead complex, cross-functional programs supporting initiatives such as AI and agent monetization, HSOC seat packaging, usage-based billing, and credit infrastructure.
Maintain portfolio-level visibility across pricing and monetization programs, proactively identifying risks, dependencies, and sequencing decisions while communicating executive-ready updates.
Serve as the primary bridge between Pricing Strategy and Engineering, ensuring pricing decisions are technically feasible, scalable, and operationally sustainable.
Translate engineering constraints into strategic insights that improve pricing governance and reduce downstream technical or compliance debt.
Develop scalable governance processes and enablement that improve proposal quality, increase decision velocity, and reduce off-process work across Product and Go-to-Market teams.
Champion customer value by ensuring monetization strategies balance business objectives with transparent, customer-centric product experiences.
Influence executive discussions through the Pricing Governance Board by providing clear recommendations, trade-offs, and implementation guidance.
Leverage AI and automation to streamline governance workflows, improve operational efficiency, and increase focus on strategic decision-making.
Build trusted relationships with executive stakeholders across Pricing, Engineering, Finance, Product, and Go-to-Market organizations while mentoring Technical Program Managers and elevating program management practices across HubSpot.
