Principal Recruiter - Europe
Principal Recruiter: Europe (Hybrid)
We’re building a portfolio of exceptional software businesses across the globe. As our European presence continues to expand through acquisitions and organic growth, we’re looking for a seasoned Principal Recruiter to independently lead and execute hiring across all levels, including executive search, across our portfolio companies and headquarters throughout Europe.
This is a highly visible, high-impact role where you’ll operate as a strategic talent partner to CEOs, senior executives, and business leaders. You’ll own searches end-to-end: scoping roles, mapping markets, engaging candidates, and closing hires without needing day-to-day guidance. Beyond individual searches, you’ll help shape how we approach talent across a growing, multi-country portfolio, bringing structure, best practices, and market intelligence that raises the bar for the entire function.
If you thrive on working autonomously, building trusted relationships with senior leaders, and solving complex hiring challenges across geographies, this is an opportunity to influence growth at both a regional and global level.
What You’ll Do
Own and execute recruitment across all levels independently. Lead full-cycle hiring from intake through close, including executive-level searches (C-suite, VP, Managing Director, and other key leadership positions) across our growing European portfolio. You’ll manage your own requisition load, prioritize competing demands, and drive results with minimal oversight.
Build proactive, long-term talent pipelines. Continuously map talent landscapes across multiple European markets, identify emerging leaders, and cultivate relationships with high-caliber professionals well before hiring needs arise.
Serve as a trusted talent advisor to senior leaders. Partner directly with CEOs, executives, and leadership teams on talent market trends, organizational design, succession planning, and leadership hiring strategy. You’ll bring a point of view grounded in data and market intelligence, not just fill open roles.
Bring structure and rigor to how we hire. Design and implement best-in-class recruiting processes that can be leveraged across portfolio companies, ensuring a consistent, high-quality hiring experience regardless of geography or business unit.
Leverage data and competitive intelligence. Use market knowledge, compensation benchmarking, and talent analytics to inform hiring decisions and executive search strategies across diverse European geographies.
Connect talent strategy to business outcomes. Work at the intersection of talent and business strategy, helping portfolio companies secure the leaders and key contributors they need to execute growth plans, drive transformation, and maximize long-term value creation.
Elevate the broader recruiting function. Share expertise, mentor less experienced team members, and contribute to the development of scalable recruiting playbooks, tools, and standards across the organization.
What You Bring
Extensive recruiting experience, with deep expertise in executive search, leadership hiring, and senior-level talent acquisition. You’ve led complex, high-stakes searches and closed senior hires in competitive markets.
Proven ability to manage a complex full requisition load independently.
Experience recruiting across multiple European markets with an understanding of diverse talent landscapes, cultures, labor regulations, and hiring environments.
A track record of building and maintaining proactive executive talent pipelines in fast-paced, high-growth, or multi-business environments.
Strong business acumen. You connect talent strategy to organizational growth objectives and can speak the language of the business leaders you support.
Credibility with senior stakeholders. You’ve earned the trust of executives, CEOs, and board-level leaders through data, market intelligence, and strategic insight, not just speed of delivery.
A strategic mindset paired with hands-on execution. You’re equally comfortable advising on org design as you are sourcing a niche candidate in a new market.
In-house executive recruiting experience preferred. Agency or search firm backgrounds are valued, but you should understand the dynamics of partnering with internal stakeholders over time and building long-term relationships inside a growing organization.
